Job Description

Visa is seeking an experienced payments professional to be both a strategic advisor and expert delivery partner for government acceptance solution around the world. This is a global focused role and the candidate should have working knowledge of various payments systems such as card networks, bulk clearing systems, real time payments or open banking, or a combination thereof. This role will have the following responsibilities:

• Support the Global Head of Payment Solutions in the development of revenue focused growth strategies in the area of Government revenue collection.

• Work with Visa functional SMEs to jointly identify, prioritise and pursue commercial opportunities with governments at National, State and Municipal levels, including solution design input, pricing and commercial framework development, proposal and pitch development and technical pre-sales advisory support

• Leads the development of payment processing partnership strategies with the Visa Merchant Solution & Acceptance team.

• Consolidate Visa Buyer and Seller Value Added Solutions into a cohesive suite of payment processing capabilities solutions, focused on revenue collection pain points and outcomes

• Develop thought leadership on Government payment processing options with a specific focus on balancing risk, liquidity management, platform utility and speed of settlement and fraud minimisation.

• Partner with the dedicated sales enablement team to develop a commercial wrapper and packaging product pricing to facilitate commercial success.

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Visa capabilities across a wide range of relevant areas not limited to Visa business solutions and acceptance products.

• Contribute to the creation and review of market acceleration strategies and digital roadmaps with close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Liaises with product owners within the global and regional Visa teams to influence product development and timing based on the Government needs and requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in payment processing in companies serving governments with deep network understanding.

• A strong and agile critical thinker, we ability to combine aspects of the business and commercialisation with technical design

• Able to translate client needs into product requirements by adapting existing product and solutions to client and markets' needs

• Have deep knowledge and passion around emerging payments technologies and their potential to change commerce. Keeps abreast of payment technology developments, market trends and tracks competitive landscape

• An advantage will be a strong technical understanding of payment flows, payment system architecture and commercials across payment payment systems

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills/ability to influence with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally, specifically in working in a 'matrixed' environment

• Be a self-starter, with the ability to network, thinks and acts independently, with a collaborative mindset.

• Demonstrated ability in planning, and driving projects across functions or equivalent experience
