The Opportunity
As a Director in the Transaction Services team with a focus on Financial Due Diligence, you will play a pivotal role in managing this growing and successful new line of business within the mid-market segment. Leveraging your strong background and leadership experience, you will be responsible for helping to build, develop and mentor a high-performing team, developing and executing a comprehensive business strategy, and delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Business Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop a comprehensive business strategy for the Financial Due Diligence line of business, aligning it with the overall goals and objectives of K3 Capital Group. Identify target markets, client segments, and service differentiators to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
- Team Leadership and Operational Management: Recruit, lead, and mentor a team of talented professionals, including financial analysts, consultants, and industry experts. Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, promoting continuous learning and development.
- Client Engagement: Develop and nurture relationships with existing and potential clients, leveraging your network and expertise to promote the Financial Due Diligence services. Understand client needs, deliver tailored solutions, and ensure consistently high levels of client satisfaction.
- Service Delivery Excellence: Oversee the execution of financial due diligence engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet industry standards and client expectations. Provide strategic insights to clients, identifying risks and opportunities in their transactions.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics within the mid-market Financial Due Diligence segment. Use this knowledge to refine and enhance the business strategy.
- Collaboration with Sun Capital: Work closely with Sun Capital, our US private equity owner, to leverage their resources, expertise, and networks. Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and identify opportunities for synergy.
- Financial Performance: Manage the financial performance of the Financial Due Diligence line of business, monitoring revenue, profitability, and expenses. Develop and execute strategies to achieve financial targets.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership and ownership regarding the progress of the Financial Due Diligence line of business. Clearly communicate achievements, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
The Person
You will be a skilled and experienced Corporate Finance Transaction professional able to meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business, or related field. Master's degree or relevant professional certification preferred (ACA / ACCA / CFA etc)
- Proven track record of success in leading and growing financial due diligence services within the mid-market segment. Your experience will have ideally be gained from working within a Top 20 practice.
- Extensive network and relationships within the Transactions market and broader financial services industry.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify key insights from complex financial data.
- Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams (which could be located in numerous locations).
- Proficiency in project management, business development, and financial analysis tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- Experience in working with data analytics tools such as Power Bi, Tableau, Alteryx would be very helpful as our financial due diligence team works closely with our dedicated data analytics team.
