Reporting to the EVP People Experience, the Director of Talent and Culture will be part of the People Experience leadership team and will be responsible for advancing initiatives in Talent, Culture and Employee Engagement. Key responsibilities involve implementing a comprehensive talent and performance strategy across the company, managing an annual schedule of activities focused on learning, and employee engagement, and spearheading strategic projects to amplify the effectiveness of people programs. Furthermore, this role will offer strategic guidance and thought leadership in all areas of the people agenda, aiding ASOS in attracting, managing, and nurturing the right talent internally and externally.

We are looking for someone who can look at the systemic challenges and provide solutions that are robust and deeply embedded into the behaviours and culture at ASOS.

The Details

  • Design and drive a holistic strategy partnering with senior leaders and HR partners to pinpoint and comprehend strategic talent and development needs and collaborate with senior teams to achieve a significant transformation in leadership.
  • Support an inclusive and engaging culture at ASOS working with DEI Partners, Internal Communications team and senior leadership to meet our internal and external goals.
  • Integrate our values and behaviours into the performance development framework.
  • Strive to make ASOS the destination for top talent by fostering a culture where ASOSers are empowered to innovate with speed.
  • Manage and evaluate internal employee surveys to ensure they are effective and prioritise the psychological safety of all employees.
  • Develop a Talent and Learning & Development (L&D) process to identify and address skill gaps, ensuring consistent career progression for our employees.
  • Embed our culture into our hiring practices, with a strong focus on advancing our diversity, equity, and inclusion roadmap.
  • Ensure the Learning & Development offerings align with the organization's needs, strategy, and brand values.
  • Bring to life our Strategy, Mission, and Purpose across the business.
  • Use relevant people metrics to understand, measure and drive improvements in engagement at ASOS, partnering with the wider PX team and department heads.
  • Champion growth and development for all ASOSers, setting clear leadership expectations to drive internal succession and agility.
  • Design and implement a best-in-class succession and development framework to support equitable growth and retention for our talent.
  • Oversee, support and ensure resourcing for ASOS's employee voices networks, communities and committees.
  • Design a metrics-based approach and processes to create insight to improve decision-making and accountability around our talent and culture commitments and investments.
  • Evaluate all our working practices to ensure we are forward-thinking and adopting new methods and approaches where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Strong talent and development experience and able to turn insights into clear business solutions to enable the retention of talent.
  • Previous experience of leading and delivering vast culture change globally.
  • Focus on Allyship, Network empowerment and continued education and training.
  • Someone who has strong previous experience of driving change, with the ability to be agile and flex approach to meet differing perspectives.
  • Experience is using profiling tools.
  • Experience of creating and facilitating L&D and leadership content and processes with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in running team building and development sessions.
  • Able to use analytics to understand trends, both internally and externally to anticipate and deliver appropriate solutions.

About You

You will be a subject matter expert in Talent, along with one or more areas such as Learning & Development, Recruitment and colleague engagement. As a holistic leader you will have a strong strategic mindset.

You should have a proven track record of successful delivery through influence and strong relationship-building. You will be able to establish collaborative relationships with business leaders and other support teams ensuring effective cross functional partnerships.

You will be able to actively engage with various key stakeholders to ensure Talent, Development & Performance provides efficient and meaningful support to the full spectrum of HR functions.

You will promote a culture of trust, respect and care across the business and be relentlessly driven to make the business more successful empowering everyone to be the best they can be.
