With the growth of the EMEA Tax team, a role now exists to join our EMEA Talent Acquisition team based in London, to drive and execute the sourcing strategy and subsequent recruitment process across our EMEA Tax team - ultimately being a prime influencer and contributor to the ambitious growth plans in this region. Acting as a trusted adviser to the business whilst providing input and guidance at Senior Stakeholder level; you will be integral to the identification and attraction of talent. As the EMEA Talent Acquisition team has an agile and dynamic way of working, this role may also have the opportunity to work on other business units recruitment needs as well.

Scope of job

  • To work closely in partnership with the EMEA Tax team to contribute to identifying skills gaps and assessing against utilisation levels and general client pipeline outlook to agree the resulting recruiting priorities.
  • To then deploy candidate sourcing strategies using your own skills and experience as well as the sourcing tools available to the business and TA team across EMEA. This will include, but not be limited to, direct approach, advertisement response and networking (internal and external). It is essential that the successful hire will have experience of identifying and attracting Senior leaders and will play an important part in the teams Managing Director (Partner) and Senior Director recruitment.
  • Your role will also be to champion and manage rigorous screening processes to continue to ensure high quality hiring delivery; to include interviewing as well as any managing appropriate skills testing and referencing.
  • You will also be reporting back to the business with accurate and timely status updates as well as organizing thorough briefing and preparation sessions to ensure the hiring managers are clear as to candidate/process status.
  • To manage and support all aspects of the offer stages of the process and to be an effective conduit between HR, Legal and the wider Talent Acquisition teams based across EMEA.
  • You will work closely with a broad spectrum of hiring managers across different areas of specialisms on their talent requirements, collating and sharing market intelligence on the competition, promoting employee branding, our diversity and inclusion policies and standards; as well as managing the relationships and terms and conditions of external search firms and contingent agencies.
  • You will play an integral role in maintaining a holistic overview of all EMEA Tax recruitment needs, working very closely with the various senior stakeholder and reporting into the Head of Tax EMEA on a regular basis.

Experience

  • Senior level experience of retained search or proactive sourcing engagements with an Executive Search firm or contingent recruitment agency;
  • Experience within the EMEA Tax market
  • Demonstrable experience of effective communications, within complex organizations, in particular with geographically dispersed staff;
  • Experience of successfully influencing staff and hiring managers at all levels within an organization;
  • A combination of external and in-house recruiting experience would be highly valuable;
  • An established relevant network and track record of hiring in the UK and ideally some wider EMEA territories, ideally to include knowledge of local employment custom and practice;
  • Proven experience recruiting and managing offer negotiations at all levels up to Managing Director (Partner);
  • Ability to identify, attract and approach job seekers through networking, referrals and direct sourcing methods;
  • Demonstrable ability to take ownership of selection processes and successfully manage challenging and time pressured assignments, often with competing client deadlines;
  • Experience of using LinkedIn and other best practice sourcing tools and technologies required as well as developing new creative sources of candidates;
  • Strong customer focus, business acumen, process management, communication and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to absorb and assimilate information quickly, getting to grips with new roles and business areas;
  • Be tenacious and thorough with a highly organized and structured approach to work, prioritizing and expectations management;
  • Experience managing talent acquisition across multiple business disciplines and sometimes geographies;
  • Demonstrated success with using best practice recruiting methods
  • Strong candidate relationship building/management skills at all levels- gaining trust, adding value throughout the relationship, and playing a vital role in managing the A&M candidate experience.

Knowledge and skills

  • Fluent English to a native level is essential - an alternative European language proficiency (both written & verbal) is an advantage;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrable strength in organizational skills and a quick responsiveness to stakeholders, are both essential;
  • Experience of building relationships with a variety of stakeholders including senior international leadership;
  • Able to work on own initiative;
  • Strong diplomacy skills and ability to adapt your style to different personalities and approaches to work;
  • Experience of using web-based applicant tracking systems; (Jobvite and Workday experience a huge advantage)
  • Proficiency using MS Office with good skills in Excel and PowerPoint;
  • An active advocate for and experience of adopting an approach to recruiting that successfully captures the power of diversity and inclusion in the workforce;
  • Ability to think laterally and strategically;
