The Team

KPMG's Strategy & Peformance Transformation team is looking to attract a professional and talented individuals who has a passion for developing enduring client relationships, identifying & delivering innovative solutions for our clients and "living the KPMG values" in everything they do.

The role of the Strategy & Performance Transformation team (S&PT) is to work with C-level Executives to identify, structure and solve their most critical strategic issues across the economic and transaction cycles.

As part of a fast-paced and dynamic group, our consultants offer strategic advice on financial, business and operating models to corporate, public sector and private equity clients.

Within the S&PT team we are investing further in senior roles with a particular focus on the deals market for individuals to lead on and deliver Commercial and Operational due diligence assignments. We work with Private Equity houses and C-level executives to assist them to deliver their M&A ambitions and growth strategies, often working with many other parts of KPMG.

The Role

As a Director you will (supported by Partners) be accountable for sales and delivery of a range of projects across a broad number of sectors. You will work with Partners to lead opportunity development & conversion and the design & delivery of engagements, to meet our clients needs.

Additionally you will; take a lead role in developing our Commercial and Operational due diligence capabilities; proactively develop thought leadership; design and lead practice development initiatives; actively develop your own knowledge and expertise: build and maintain a strong external and internal network; motivate, mentor and develop project team members and appraisees

The Person

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire your teams and develop outstanding client relationships
• Substantial experience of selling and delivering high impact Commercial and/or Operational due diligence projects, including a track record of integrating across a range of services to meet client needs in a range of sectors including industrial products / manufacturing, defence and transport / logistics
• A demonstrable network of senior client contacts and a deep understanding the Commercial and/or Operational process as well as broader deal strategy, structure and stakeholder dynamics
• A mix of structured problem solving skills, (including strong numerical capabilities combined with sound commercial acumen), ability to deliver insightful recommendations that can be practically executed, excellent written English and oral communication skills (other language skills would be a strong bonus)
• Likely to have worked for a strategy house, big 4 firm, or central strategy / corporate development team, with experience of leading complex projects with multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience of leading high value business development activities and a track record of developing and mentoring team members
• Strong values - consistent with KPMG values - that consistently guide the way you do business, the way you interact and the way you lead teams
