Qualifications - Academic & Professional

Essential criteria

  • High level of general education to degree level.
  • Second degree/Masters level qualification in a related subject or equivalent experience.
  • Track record of continuous personal and professional development

Desirable criteria

  • Formal qualification in strategy or a related discipline

Skills, Knowledge, Requirements & Experience

Essential criteria

  • Strategic Leadership - Significant experience working directly to an Executive Director (level 1) in a similarly complex organisation.
  • Strategic Leadership - A proven ability to formulate strategy and influence stakeholders with the ability to impact on that strategy
  • Strategic Leadership - Knowledge of programme management and experience of delivering complex strategic programmes.
  • Effective Partnership - A commitment to system excellence as well as organisational excellence.
  • Effective Partnership - A commitment to close working with health and social care partners in localities and across Greater Manchester.
  • Effective Partnership - Experience of managing complex programmes of change.
  • Effective Partnership - Experience of managing the development of complex business cases
  • Effective Partnership - Experience of commissioner decision-making and consultation processes.
  • Effective Partnership - Experience of developing effective partnerships with NHS and non NHS bodies.
  • Wider NHS and health context - Expert knowledge of current regulations and processes regarding major service change in the NHS.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
