Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Professional knowledge in a relevant discipline acquired through specialist training to a doctorate level or equivalent knowledge, experience and competency in a range of disciplines
- Recognised management qualifications in Health or Social Care field (diploma level or higher) or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of management development through Continuous Professional Development and/or formal management courses.
- Recent significant experience at senior level management within the NHS (or can demonstrate how you would apply your experience in the NHS) with proven track record of using professional knowledge (managerial and/or clinical) to bring about change

- Project management qualification

Essential criteria
- Highly developed level of interpersonal, communications and influencing skills that enable highly complex, sensitive or contentious technical issues to be explained in clear and concise terms and appropriate action to be understood.
- Able to think analytically, anticipating obstacles and thinking ahead. Uses analytical techniques to identify several solutions to the problem or issue.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to synthesise and articulate highly complex information and build rapport with a diverse audience.
- Ability to lead others through change, building commitment and managing complexity and uncertainty.
