We are looking for talented individuals with experience in any of the following areas: securing cloud based platforms and applications (architecture and hands on engineering), automated detection and management of vulnerabilities, application security testing, securing agile software delivery and designing and implementing role and attribute level access.

Security Architects operate as a senior member of the team, responsible for the design of technical security solutions, maintains documentation, develops architecture patterns and approaches for new technologies and solutions.

The Security Architect will lead the technical engagement and bring together technical security SMEs such as Identity, Security Testing and privacy to solve the business problem.

The Security Architect will be responsible for providing specialist technical advice, recommended approaches, recommend security controls & identify solutions that meet business objectives.

As a key member of the technical team, security architects must develop relationships with key stakeholders, understand client's security policy framework and design solutions that will meet our client requirements

Security Engineers will input into low level designs of security components and be responsible for the configuration of those components to satisfy program Architects requirements.

They will work with security architects and Identity SME to understand control objectives and work to create implementation plans for those controls as well carry out the implementations in line with the agreed plans. In addition, they will work to configure and continue to suggest improvements on the configurations of critical controls, such as WAF, firewalls, compliance monitoring and alerting.

Skills Needed

Security Architects will:

  • Be Well versed in cloud hosting platform (AWS, Azure or Google)
  • Have an understanding of DevSecOps
  • Be well versed in architecture methodology such as TOGAF or SABSA
  • Able to conduct threat assessments
  • Experience of designing secure systems & review designs for security considerations
  • Ability to research technology trends and innovative ways to secure technologies
  • Have understanding of security technologies, their purpose and configuration options
  • Understand client policies and security landscape to design solutions to requirements
  • Have ability to learn new tech solutions from vendors and articulate how they solve client problems by providing technical design to be adopted (Architecture Pattern)
  • Translate Identified Information risks into technical solutions that mitigate aligned with clients risk appetite
  • Have in depth knowledge of cloud networking and security engineering
  • Understand automated deployment techniques and CI/CD pipelines
  • Lead Technical teams to accomplish outcomes

Soft Skills

  • Understanding and experience of supporting UK government and public services.
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to create vision, principles and architecture solutions to problems and be able to communicate and justify those designs.
  • Maintain relationships with senior technical stakeholders
  • Articulate design decisions to non technical stakeholders
  • Influence people within the design teams and business stakeholders

You'll be based in London, Bristol or Manchester with hybrid working. Our hybrid model enables our people to collaborate, connect and innovate in both a virtual and physical capacity.
