TheGovernors at Bridlington School, are seeking to appoint a well-qualified,enthusiastic and committed and enthusiastic Director of Science to join ourhighly successful and dynamic leadership team. We are seeking to appoint a person who is passionate about Science andTeaching and Learning. We are seeking an individual with the skills andqualities to improve the achievement of students of all attainment levels and abilities.You will take on a vital role in ensuring that the science team are equipped todeliver an inclusive education for all students. We are looking for someone whohas an innovative outlook and a commitment to the role, a clear ambition andenthusiasm for Teaching and Learning, and will be fully involved in the leadershipof the school.

Theschool is located within an easy commutable distance from Hull, York andScarborough.

Theperson appointed will:
• Take up a vital position of authority andleadership in line with the schools core expectations for teaching and learning
• Be responsible for providing professionalstrategic leadership and daily management of the science team (both teachingand support).
• Be expectedto actively contribute to establish a learning environment that inspires both apassion and commitment to learning.
• Sharetheir passion for Science inspiring both students and staff through effectivedelivery of an ambitious inclusive Science curriculum;
• Becommitted and accountable to securing excellent outcomes for all groupof students through a relentless drive to develop great science teachers in thedepartment;
• Bean excellent role model, exemplifying a high standard of leadership and Scienceteaching by promoting high expectations for all members of the schoolcommunity;
• Developand implement the educational philosophy of the school and to cultivate andpromote good practice;
