As a Director in our Technology and Transformation SAP practice you will specialise as an SAP Finance Architect, where you will have the opportunity to:
- Guide C-suite client executives on their strategic agenda to deliver the latest SAP Solutions creating an impact aligned with the client's business strategy.
- Structure and deliver Phase Zero opportunities, helping to inspire the clients SAP transformation plan and roadmap.
- Lead clients to envision their SAP transformation plans integrated with all relevant & applicable business processes and advise on cost-benefit/prioritization of various product packages that are most relevant to the client's agenda.
- Guide clients to understand, select and deliver different deployment approaches for their S/4HANA transformation program (e.g. Greenfield, Brownfield, Selective, Cloud, CFIN etc).
- Manage and deliver architecture and road maps on large-scale S/4HANA transformation programmes across the Finance landscape and beyond.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Guide them to design and build SAP enabled business solutions for delivery of large-scale S/4HANA transformation programmes.
- Drive the Fit to Standard Agenda for high-level and detailed design workshops for the SAP functional solution, collecting business requirements and mapping out business processes.
- Design end-to-end solutions and ensure deliverables are consistent with design principles, standards and methodologies.
- Ensure the SAP solution design integrates into the client's broader technology eco-system, and architect/design integration with connected applications to ensure seamless end-to-end processes.
- Provide thought leadership and develop external market eminence through different marketing strategies/approaches.
- Develop implementation plans that maximise the potential of SAP technology whilst minimising implementation risk.
- Develop and foster trusted and productive client, alliance and internal relationships and use these to identify and develop business opportunities.
- Lead sales processes by creating compelling and commercially attractive client proposals.
- Evaluate project economics and develop a strategic approach for multi-year and/or multi-faceted projects.
- Use Deloitte's delivery networks to drive delivery efficiency and understand the levers for margin and cost/price optimisation on our client engagements.
- Strategize and plan practice development activities aligned to the wider SAP practice objectives to support sales initiatives and internal capability development.
- Inspire, mentor and lead members of your team and help us to develop our junior talent.
- Work with the latest SAP technology including AI and automation innovations.
- Work across multiple traditional and emerging client industries.
- Access SAP and professional developmental training through internal (e.g. Deloitte University) and external provision (e.g. via SAP Learning Hub). Attain and maintain SAP certification.

Essential
- Subject matter expertise in core SAP S/4HANA across the breadth of functionality including Financial Accounting (FI), Management Accounting (CO) and Project Systems.
- Good knowledge of non-Finance SAP modules, key business processes and integration points including Reporting solutions, Sourcing and Procurement (MM), Supply Chain, Sales (SD) and Asset Management (PM).
- Driving the design of the SAP Enterprise Structure aligned to your client's organisation and business structures.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, concepts, and processes.
- Working in an architectural capacity on transformation programmes involving S/4HANA, and the various deployment solutions e.g. Central Finance, Public Cloud.
- Execution and management of configuration in multiple SAP S/4HANA modules.
- Getting the most from the latest SAP innovations, understanding the SAP roadmap and using SAP Best Practices for S/4HANA Finance and integrated modules.
- Creating project architectural and governance frameworks, setting the design principles and mechanisms to control the solution design, leading planning activities, management of project risks, issues and change requests.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Setting the fit to standard agenda for SAP programmes to ensure the team can design robust client solutions using the latest functionality to meet business requirements.
- Acting as Design Authority and ensuring the end-to-end quality of the SAP solution.
- Fluent in Agile working practices on SAP implementations, knowing how to structure project deliverables appropriately.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to forge strong professional relationships with your clients, leaders and peers.
Desirable
- Qualified/Part-Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent.
- Ability to get Security Clearance, to support activities in the Public Sector.
- Knowledge of broader architectural principles and considerations.
- Knowledge on middleware applications that support integration outside of SAP.
