Role overview

You'll be working in Ipsos Synthesio's sales team who is responsible for bringing new business for both platform and insights services focussed on Social Intelligence.

You'll be responsible for hunting new business and leading a small team whose focus is to bring in platform and insights sales.

You will also focus on building varied and trusted advisor relationships with key senior stakeholders in Ipsos. You'll demonstrate how we can add value to their client's business, creating the best opportunities to grow and expand current Ipsos business. You'll mentor and grow the team that supports you in achieving success as the best sales team in the industry.

This is a highly visible and exciting area of Ipsos, so your stakeholders will include senior colleagues at the top of the Ipsos structure.

What will I be doing?

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve ambitious revenue targets for our social listening platform and insights services. Achieve new business targets for both platform and insights services of the year successfully.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust and healthy sales pipeline, accurately forecasting revenue and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure sales goals are met consistently.
  • Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and untapped opportunities within the social listening landscape.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective client companies, understanding their unique needs and demonstrating how our solutions can drive meaningful business outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and success.
  • Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our social listening platform, features, and capabilities, effectively communicating its value proposition to potential clients.

Ipsos UK offers a hybrid working environment, 3 days in the office and working the rest from home.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Proven track record of success in a sales leadership role, preferably within the SaaS, market research, or social media analytics industries.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets of £1m+
  • Deep understanding of social listening methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Strategic thinker who understands the complex sales process and can tailor solutions to client's need effectively, ensuring what is sold is what can be delivered as well
  • You are tenacious and a hunter - driven by selling responsibly and striving for sales which secure client relationships for multiple years
  • Ability to build trusted advisor relationships quickly with multiple stakeholders internally and externally with clients
  • Ability to negotiate and close sales quickly
  • Solid experience in team management and developing them in all aspects of sales
  • Research literate - Background in quant/qual (a plus)
  • Excellent verbal, written and presenting skills
  • Work ethics and approach to work: Tenacious, relentlessly client focused, hyper team focused, ambitious, organised, passionate, willing to muck in, results orientated, pro-active, meet deadlines and manage time effectively
