We have an opportunity for a Reward Director based in our regional team and are looking for talented and driven Reward specialist who is excited by the opportunity to work within a growing business and to be a key part of this exciting journey.

The work is wide ranging and covers all aspects of employment tax and reward including risk governance, IR35 and employment status, payroll effectiveness and businesses with compliance matters around establishment and operation of both discretionary and all-employee share incentive plans.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Leading business development and marketing activities, both internally with our partner/director group, and externally in the market
  • Winning new work and encouraging a winning mindset within an experienced team of tax professionals.
  • Leading by example on technical quality and service delivery of Reward offerings. Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own and team's work.
  • Leading teams of people. Gives clear directions, positive and constructive feedback. Coaches and develops less experienced staff. Monitors and upholds high quality of service delivery.
  • Recognising and being able to leverage the value of a diverse team of specialists to bring a complete solution to a client
  • Building the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge and experience.

Experience and background:

  • Extensive experience of employment tax and wider reward legislation.
  • Experienced in:
    • Designing and structuring of new equity or cash based incentive plans considering the tax (UK and overseas), commercial and accounting impacts and/or reviewing existing incentive plans to ensure they remain fit for purpose
    • Advising on the tax impact of any corporate transactions on existing or new compensation and benefits plans and also advising on the tax structuring of transactions
    • Designing plans for the wider workforce including all employee share purchase plans.
  • Ability to develop and sustain client relationships at a senior level and pro-active approach to networking in the external market.
  • Taking early responsibility for building and maintaining some of KPMG's relationships with clients, including discussing people issues with clients and recognising opportunities to assist clients across different specialisms
  • A proven track record of being able to generate new business in the regional reward market.
  • Communicates with impact with clients and colleagues, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear.
  • Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude that translates across the team.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and client service skills as well as strong business development acumen
  • ATT and/or CTA/ACA/Legal qualification
