Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Director to work within our Real Estate Cost Management Division. Working within our award-winning team will give you the opportunity to work across some of Turner & Townsend's key clients. These clients include a high performing property developers, several blue-chip real estate businesses and household names.
Objective of the role
- A leadership role within the Birmingham business unit with responsibility for the development of new business in the Commercial Developer & Occupier sector
- Champion staff development, morale and resourcing, and to drive Turner and Townsend's commitment to high professional standards, service differentiation and innovation
- Be a key member of the leadership team supporting the realisation of the agreed strategy and business plan acting as a role model and ambassador within the business unit, leading by example and operating with vision and diligence.
- Perform a key role in the networking, bidding, winning and retention of quantity surveying and integrated services.
- Manage client accounts and maintenance of excellent client relationships
- Overseeing the management of multiple projects (may include some detailed input periodically).
- Working alongside other offices to leverage business opportunities.
- Oversee projects from initial concept through to delivery to ensure that time, quality and cost constraints are met, together with demonstrable added value
- Offering strategic advice to clients
- Managing the geographical requirements of national clients
- Networking internally to pursue opportunities jointly
Qualifications
- Has grown / started to grow fee income in the 'developer marketplace'
- Shows a deep understanding of the marketplace and has a longer-term view, is forward thinking
- Has won and delivered successful 'developer' projects
- Has developed strong client relationships
- Finds, creates and develops new client relationships in addition to nurturing existing
- Has strong work winning skills / can cross sell different service lines
- Generates followership in their team / office / end market
- Has influence that creates significant impact with staff, peers and superiors across the business
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to adopt both a professional and commercial approach.
- Be a 'proactive self-starter', resourceful and able to adapt readily to change.
- High degree of integrity and enthusiasm
- An outgoing nature to deal confidently with clients
- Has empathy with the existing clients to maintain relationships and increase opportunities for new business
- The ability to advise and guide colleagues in a supportive, interactive style ensuring that programmes are agreed, targets set and deadlines achieved
- The ability to interact with colleagues in a relaxed social environment
