This is an exciting career opportunity for a credible individual to join the leadership Team at NatCen as its Director of Public Policy & Global (PP&G). The role will oversee and lead the strategic direction of NatCen's extensive public policy and global portfolio of work which spans: Crime and Justice, Social Equity, Children & Families; Secondary Analysis; NatCen International; Deliberation; Health; Communities, Work & Income; and Evaluation.

What you will do...

The Director of Public Policy role is wide-ranging, front facing to customers and will lead a period of growth/opportunities across all public policy and international matters and bring a breadth of corporate and strategic experience (across multiple organisations and sectors), valuable insights and a track record of delivery and play a dynamic role in the delivery of our "Making Life Better" strategy.

What you will need...

The successful candidate will be a strategic, progressive individual with a demonstrable experience in the field of public policy and/or global research with a strong understanding of policy, governance and development agendas and a diverse network of relationships with funders, and policy makers.

It is expected that the post holder will bring an impressive executive leadership track record with demonstrable experience of shaping, developing and delivering strategic priorities, successful leadership, leading change, stakeholder engagement and attracting funding in social research or a related work area, such as statistics, wider social sciences, humanities and/or in public and global policy. In addition, the ideal candidate will have the gravitas to influence and lead a team of highly experienced senior research experts.
