Nuclear Delivery Director

Role Context:

We're looking for a Nuclear Delivery Director to join us at Worley to lead the development and delivery of our Nuclear and initially our SMR strategy. Worley will be working with SMR technology providers to deliver projects and in-depth knowledge of the nuclear sector is required.

You'll be:

  • A leader that will both develop and then deliver our nuclear strategy to grow the business.
  • Developing nuclear strategies for Worley, initially focussing on the UK but later taking this expertise to European opportunities.
  • Building a team of nuclear professionals to work with our inhouse sales teams to partner, bid and win nuclear projects.
  • Identifying and building on the nuclear experienced personnel in the organisation.
  • Providing information and support to the UK leadership team as Worley grows this capability.
  • Establishing the execution strategy across the projects and supporting performance and delivery to a successful conclusion.
  • Adhering to the highest ethical standards.
  • Working closely with the Global Nuclear Director to ensure leveraging of skills, knowledge and lesson learnt from other projects.
  • Driving collaboration across different Worley locations and regions.
  • Ensuring that the Worley's risk management system is effectively and fully implemented in order that risks and opportunities are identified, reported, and escalated as required.
  • Consistently complying with all company policies and procedures, including ensuring compliance with all applicable Safety, Health & Environmental Regulations and rules.
  • Overseeing as executive projects performance and governance during execution

You'll have:

  • A strong focus on safety.
  • The ability to thrive in a complex, dynamic, matrix environment.
  • The ability to lead and manage multiple complex opportunities simultaneously.
  • Broad and deep understanding of the nuclear sector.
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining key customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong team building skills.
  • Manage complex and geographically and culturally diverse teams.
  • Leadership and stakeholder management.
  • Track record of developing a diverse talent pool.

Professional Knowledge:

  • Several years of experience at a senior leadership level with proven experience in project delivery.
  • Extensive experience and leadership in the Nuclear sector.
  • Proven capability in developing and driving strategy.
  • Whilst initial focus will be the UK, role will grow to cover European opportunities and knowledge of European markets would be beneficial.
  • Business development experience.
  • Nuclear New Build experience.
  • SMR experience.
  • Evidence of Continual Professional Development.
