Job Description
This role is based in our 5 Howick Place, London office
We're seeking a visionary Director of Product Marketing to lead our product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy across Informa. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll shape how our products connect with customers, drive market adoption, and fuel business growth.
Purpose
This role will also lead and set excellence for Product Marketing for One Informa.
Initially the focus will be on supporting the Accelerator workstream, within the Market Leading Marketing One Informa Programme. They will lead the development and execution of product marketing strategies specifically focused on driving paid attendee growth across a focussed portfolio of events. You will be responsible for crafting compelling value propositions that convert prospects into paid attendees, optimizing the attendee journey, and collaborating with the marketing team to develop marketing strategies that maximize revenue from our event offerings. Working at the intersection of the commercial team and marketing, you'll leverage audience insights to refine our event propositions and drive sustainable growth in paid attendance and revenue.
What you'll be doing
Setting Strategic Direction
- Develop comprehensive product marketing strategies specifically for paid attendee propositions across a specific portfolio of events
- Define clear value propositions that articulate the unique benefits of attending our events compared to competitors
- Create pricing and packaging strategies that maximize revenue while delivering exceptional value to attendees
- Lead the evolution of our event proposition to meet changing market demands and attendee expectations
Utilising Audience & Market Intelligence
- Conduct in-depth market research to understand attendee personas, buying behaviours, and decision-making processes
- Analyse competitive landscape to identify opportunities for differentiation in our event offerings
- Leverage data analytics to identify trends in attendee preferences and purchasing patterns
- Translate audience insights into actionable recommendations for event proposition enhancements
Optimising Attendee Journeys
- Partner with the CRO lead to optimize the full attendee journey, implement segment-specific marketing approaches, and develop strategies that increase conversion rates and maximize lifetime value through repeat attendance.
Defining Go-to-Market Excellence
- Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to drive paid registrations
- Collaborate with content teams to ensure event programming aligns with attendee needs and expectations
- Partner with digital marketing teams to optimize paid and organic channels for attendee acquisition
- Develop compelling messaging that clearly communicates the ROI of event attendance to prospective attendees
Setting Performance Metrics
- Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of paid attendee marketing initiatives
- Analyze conversion metrics throughout the attendee acquisition funnel
- Conduct post-event analysis to measure attendee satisfaction and identify improvement opportunities
Working Cross-Functionally
- Work closely with event directors/commercial leads to ensure marketing strategies align with event objectives
- Partner with sales teams to develop effective approaches for group bookings and VIP attendees
- Collaborate with product teams to incorporate attendee feedback into future event planning
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience:

- You have 8+ years of experience in product marketing, with experience on events, conferences, or similar experiential products
- You are a strategic thinker with ability to balance short-term revenue goals with long-term brand building
- You place the customer at the heart of everything you do
- You have a proven track record of developing successful marketing strategies that drive revenue
- You have excellent communication skills with ability to articulate complex value propositions
- You are results-oriented with focus on driving measurable business outcomes
- You take a collaborative approach to working across departments and with external partners
- You have strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable marketing strategies
How you will measure success:
- Increase paid attendee numbers and revenue across our event portfolio
- Improve conversion rates throughout the attendee acquisition funnel
- Enhance attendee satisfaction scores and Net Promoter Scores
- Drive innovation in our event propositions to maintain competitive advantage
- Develop scalable marketing approaches that can be implemented across multiple events
