BenevolentAI is seeking a passionate Director of Product with proven experience in the Pharma or Biotech industry to join our team. As the Director of Product, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future direction of our product offerings. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for developing and executing the product strategy, driving product development initiatives, and ensuring the successful delivery of our products to market. You will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in the biotechnology industry to develop a team of product managers and collaborate with scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to drive the success of our drug discovery technology. Responsibilities

  • Work with the CTO, senior leadership team, and stakeholder across the business to devise the product vision and strategy, and set the product roadmaps to deliver a platform that responds to the needs of our internal and external users.
  • Define and execute the product strategy, including identifying target markets, defining product roadmap, and prioritising feature development
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including scientists, engineers, and business teams, to gather requirements and ensure alignment of product strategy with company objectives
  • Lead our product management function, providing guidance and mentorship to drive professional development and optimise their impact on product outcomes
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept and design to development, testing, and release
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and potential strategic partnerships
  • Track and analyse key metrics to drive data-informed decision-making and continuously improve product performance

We are looking for:

  • Minimum of 5 years of product management experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • Understanding of drug discovery processes and technologies
  • Proven track record of driving successful product launches and managing product lifecycles
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Strategic mindset with the capacity to think analytically and make decisions based on data, embracing our culture of making bold decisions to conduct experiments and continually improving based on the knowledge gained.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast-paced and evolving environments
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, higher degree preferred.
  • Nice to have - start-up experience
