Description of Role

We are currently developing our entire Leveraged Finance offering with a concerted plan that will see us constantly in the Top 5 rankings by continuing our market leading position in the TMT sector and getting more involved in Large Cap deals.

Part of this growth is within our Syndication unit and we are looking to appoint an experienced Director to lead our Pre-Marketing capabilities.

The team is responsible for the pricing, underwriting and syndication of leveraged loans and high yield bonds across the EMEA region. Working directly with the origination business lines for Private Equity backed deals and non-investment grade corporates as well as partnering with colleagues in the US.

Key Responsibilities

This core focus of this role is to develop and execute a full pre-marketing strategy, while also playing a key role in the broader syndications team:

• * Lead private side investor discussions via pre-marketing syndication phases or soundings.

• * Actively support our Originate to Distribute model through review, structuring and support of underwriting opportunities

• * Represent Syndicate team in client pitches, providing market intelligence to ensure proposals are competitive and likely to succeed among the investor base.

• * Execute the de-risking of deals in a timely manner to meet objectives of the borrowers and protect risk position of the Bank

• * Supervise distribution efforts in partnership with public and credit sales

* Collect and share market feedback through investor meetings and market soundings

Profile required

Experience / Competencies Required

* Strong connections across the broad leveraged loan investor arena, with track record of acting as a trusted advisor and developing long term relationships

* Proven track record in credit analysis and legal documentation

* Ability to effectively develop relationships both internally and externally

* Understanding of the risks associated with Leveraged deals and how to structure transactions to remain within limits and gain approvals

* Strong team ethic, must be willing to assist others and work towards the best outcome for our clients that will result in benefits for the Bank Why join us
