Overview

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) provides HR leadership and expert support to Replimune leaders and employees in our Milton Park/UK office, as well as our manufacturing facility, located in the Boston area of the United States. The Director will be responsible for a broad range of human capital matters, from employee relations and performance management to onboarding and talent planning. In addition, the HRBP leads local efforts in the UK for other HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, HR operations, and benefits - working in alignment and under the guidance of the HR Leadership Team. The Director, HRBP is expected to play a key role in developing and implementing HR programs and practices to help grow the business, contribute to the development of leaders and people managers, and drive employee engagement.

This position is based in our Milton Park, UK facility and requires an in-office presence 5 days per week.

The Director, HRBP will partner with teams with employees in both the UK location as well as in our US facility. Because of this responsibility, s/he will need the flexibility to travel to the US approximately 25% of the time. When not traveling, the Director is expected to be on-site in Milton Park.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR leadership and guidance to client functions at Replimune, along with delivery of HR programs and services to achieve key business and HR objectives.
  • Advise functional leaders in solving complex issues in all areas of human capital with a specific emphasis on employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition to build a sustainable, high-growth organization.
  • Help drive employee engagement by identifying areas to enhance. In conjunction with the rest of the HR team, helps develop and execute programs to drive engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, policies, and practices to maintain the highest standards of compliance and fairness.
  • Manage key HR processes for the UK, such as new hire onboarding and the year-end performance management process (performance assessment, calibration, and compensation planning).
  • Lead strategic workforce planning efforts to ensure the people and talent strategy is in alignment with the organization's long range strategic plan (identification of long-term capability needs, talent acquisition and succession planning).
  • Play a lead role in delivering on Replimune Talent Acquisition strategy to fill critical roles, including identifying, interviewing and managing the offer process for candidates in coordination with the broader Talent Acquisition team.
  • Oversee benefits administration for the UK; identify, research and recommend areas for enhancement to the HR Leadership Team.
  • Lead UK onboarding programs to ensure an engaging, useful and motivating start for new hires.
  • Motivate and support employee engagement in a dynamic and high-growth collaborative culture.
  • Engage in larger HR or cross-functional projects, e.g., around employee engagement, HR or business process improvements, talent attraction and retention strategies. Act as an influencer and an integrator.

Qualifications

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred.

Experience and skill requirement:

  • 10+ years of broad Human Resources experience with significant exposure to employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition and other HR disciplines (e.g., training, benefits); in particular previous experience in talent acquisition is desired.
  • 3+ years of experience in roles working directly with senior leaders as internal clients in an HR business partner capacity.
  • Experience in the Biotech industry or within a lab-environment required; familiarity with R&D functions preferred.
  • Ability to effectively influence leaders and other stakeholders in an organization by demonstrating a high level of service, maturity, executive presence, and business acumen.
  • Strong operational and business acumen, with the ability to act as a business partner with senior leaders in helping them meet or exceed their strategic objectives and tactical goals; ability and willingness to shift quickly between the strategic and tactical on a daily basis.
  • Strong general knowledge of employee compensation, benefits, payroll, recruiting, performance management and training.
  • Embraces the pace and opportunities of a fast-growing organization and has proven ability to handle a broad range of responsibilities; strong project management and prioritization skills to effectively drive multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Possesses a high energy level, sense of urgency, ability to work hard and well under pressure and to effectively partner with the rest of the HR team.
  • Ability to travel at least 25% to the US and otherwise work on-site in Milton Park.
