Bumble is seeking a strategic, experienced, and thoughtful leader to join our organization as the Director of Global People Operations, reporting directly to the VP of People Strategy & Operations. In this pivotal role, you will lead the evolution of HR operations at Bumble, creating a technology-enabled business model that prioritizes the human experience. You and your team will play a crucial role in enhancing employee engagement and growth throughout the candidate, employee, and alumni lifecycle.

What You'll Do

    • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategy for people operations, knowledge management, and employee support across the enterprise
    • Infrastructure Development: Build and manage a scalable HR operational infrastructure to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service levels
    • Seamless Employee Experience: Create intelligent connections between systems, data, processes, and coworker interactions to ensure a smooth employee journey
    • Team Development: Lead, coach, and inspire a globally distributed team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
    • Knowledge Management: Establish foundational knowledge management capabilities for the People team to reduce employee reliance on support queries
    • Holistic Support: Implement an AI-powered backend with a user-friendly Slack interface for an integrated knowledge and support management capability
    • Process Refinement: Continuously enhance existing HR processes by implementing automation and tailored solutions to meet local regulatory needs
    • Operational Management: Oversee the execution of employee leaves of absence, the Contingent Worker program, immigration, visa processes, and relocations
    • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize analytics to identify workforce trends and challenges, implementing comprehensive solutions for long-term impact while ensuring the smooth delivery of global operations.

About You

    • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR regulations, employment laws, and best practices, particularly in the UK, EU, and the US
    • Solution- Oriented Mindset: Operationally focused with a commitment to enhancing employee experiences
    • Collaborative Approach: Proven ability to drive collaboration across teams, prioritize and delegate effectively, and achieve successful outcomes
    • Team Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing global teams
    • Adaptability: Proactive and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments
    • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailored to diverse audiences
    • Business Acumen: Strong strategic thinking capabilities, with a readiness to engage hands-on when needed
    • Travel Availability: Willingness to travel up to 10% to our People hubs in Austin, Texas, NYC, and UK, London as required to meet strategic goals and support team functions.

$162,000 - $203,000 a year

Base Compensation Range: $162,000 - $203,000. For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. This position is also typically eligible to participate in our short- and long-term incentive programs. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, Unlimited Paid Time Off Policy.
