Responsibilities

This is an exciting "hands on" role reporting into the Group CFO with a dotted line to the Group CEO. It supports the CFO and CEO on strategic projects along with managing several projects within the finance team. It is a pivotal role in helping the company achieve its growth potential through both organic and M&A channels. Whilst the day-to-day responsibilities will change as required the following provide some examples

  • Managing due diligence processes for acquisitions
  • Working with potential investors (most likely PE firms) to secure equity investments to support M&A
  • Supporting the CFO in working with financial institutions to secure working capital financing
  • Advanced business modelling to support C-Suite decision making
  • Managing transformation projects within the finance team to enable and control the growth of the business
  • Review and development of KPI reporting and incentive schemes
  • Project profitability and cost saving initiatives
  • Deputising for the CFO when required

Qualifications

Key Competencies / Experience

  • ACA qualified from top 6 accountancy firm, MBA or similar professional qualification
  • Good academic record with 2.1 degree from top 40 UK university or equivalent
  • Excellent Excel based business modelling skills
  • Proven ability to communicate and work at C-level in entrepreneurial business £50m+ revenue
  • Creative thinker not constrained by the status quo
  • Proven ability and desire to influence and drive change within an organization
  • Robust, independent and proactive, a desire to improve processes and performance
  • Commercial acumen and business partnering skills
  • Ability to work with a global team and collaborate well with financial and non-financial colleagues
  • Willing to get into the detail of transactions and projects to become a subject matter expert and then drive change
