Job description
KPMG's Enterprise Architecture practice is a leading independent advisor for Technology Architecture professional services. We help CIOs, CTOs and their management teams transform their businesses and IT services. Our clients have to develop robust and executable strategies that have to account for the continual development of technology, with current focus being on Digital disruption, exploitation of cloud technologies and modernising the IT estate. We help these organisations understand and evaluate their strategic options, build business cases, design the roadmaps and then continually optimise. We have deeply skilled architects to support this journey and make the path robust throughout the software delivery lifecycle. We are growing our Architecture team to respond to the increasing demand and in particular seeking technologists with architecture backgrounds and experience in Enterprise Architecture within the Financial Services sector.
The Role
• Engagement Delivery - leading the technical delivery of highly complex programmes and large projects, including planning, managing and executing the delivery of engagements or projects, including responsibility for the review and quality assurance of deliverables
• Technical Leadership - 'hands on' leading the delivery of high quality strategy and technology architecture work throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Excellent communication skills and client-facing stakeholder management experience.
• Industry awareness of enterprise architecture methodologies, e.g. TOGAF, approaches to delivering enterprise solutions and market trends.
• Experience of applying architecture principles to application, data and / or infrastructure components as part of an overall enterprise architecture.
• Leading and contributing to proposals and sales activity.
• Contributing to the development of a vibrant technology capability.
The Person
• Senior IT Architect with a strong track record of defining and delivering IT Architectures in a complex environment
• Exceptional technical delivery skills for large scale project and programme management
• Deep hands-on technical experience, across a combination of package and bespoke system implementation
• Significant experience of enterprise architecture and technology in a financial services sector.
• High energy levels, coupled with a desire to deliver to a high standard in a suitable timeframe
• Practical experience in large scale, enterprise wide, complex transformations providing the technical leadership throughout the life cycle.
• Experience of using EA tooling
