Company Description
As the Director of E-Commerce Performance, you will be responsible for the commercial strategy and delivery of the revenue targets for Hoxton.com, through driving digital sales and optimising the e-commerce experience. You will ultimately be accountable for hotels hitting their brand.com & revenue targets and success in this role is to deliver brand.com budgeted channel share. You will be responsible for driving a multi-stakeholder team with product, revenue, data and property teams to implement initiatives that increase direct bookings and improve the overall user experience on brand websites. This role focuses on commercial acumen, senior multi-stakeholder collaboration, operational execution, digital marketing, and revenue management to ensure our digital platforms meet business objectives.
Job Description
- Deliver commercial targets: Build and own an e.commerce plan with monthly revenue targets and metrics which aligns to the overall brand and regional channel strategy. Analyse performance on a monthly basis with clear action plans where needed, reporting to Brand COO and taking part in Monthly Business Performance Reviews with wider business.
- Drive Website Performance: Build a conversion rate optimisation plan to deliver benchmark's KPO across the entire website and booking journey - looking at both content and product optimisation features. Collaborate with product, revenue, data and brand VP's to gather insights, needs and ensure alignment on plan.
- Collaborate on Product Enhancements: Work closely with the product and engineering team to ensure that product development aligns with commercial objectives. Support the prioritisation of website features that drive direct bookings, enhance user engagement, and improve the effectiveness of brand websites.
- Lead Acquisition Marketing: Manage the acquisition marketing team, driving the strategy and paid campaigns for the Hoxton, developing digital marketing campaigns that effectively drive traffic and convert into direct bookings.
- Manage Paid Media & ROI: optimise paid media investments by focusing on budget efficiency and ROI. Collaborate with brand team on CRM campaigns and drive the campaign calendar in collaboration with the brand teams.
- Performance Assessment: Work with the Data and Insights team to assess website performance at the individual hotel level, and use the data to come up with actionable recommendations to improve key metrics.
- Commercial Initiatives: Develop exclusive offers, content and customer journey optimisation and direct sales initiatives on brand websites. Monitor pricing structures to ensure competitiveness with third-party sales channels.
- Features implementation support: Engage with property teams to implement new digital features and ensure they fully utilise digital tools and processes to enhance their online presence.
- Triage & Troubleshoot Website Issues: Help triage website and booking engine related issues, coordinate troubleshooting efforts with the support team, and ensure rapid resolution to minimise business impact.
- New Openings support: Assist in the digital readiness of newly opening Hoxton properties, ensuring that their websites are optimised for launch and align with company-wide e-commerce strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of delivery of commercial performance with the ability to contribute to the growth of direct bookings, reduce reliance on OTAs, and ultimately increase online revenue.
- Ability to work in a fast evolving, high pressure commercial environment, delivering against tight deadlines.
- Experience in working with and influencing senior stakeholders and being able to drive business change and focus.
- Experience in collaborating with revenue management teams to align digital marketing and e-commerce efforts with pricing strategies and promotions.
- Experience in e-commerce management, with an understanding of digital product development, user experience, and revenue optimisation.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, including performance marketing, paid media, SEO, and ROI optimisation. Proven experience in supporting successful marketing campaigns.
- Highly analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision making. Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, CRM, and marketing platforms to track and optimise performance. Excel proficiency required.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across senior cross-functional teams.
- Experience with A/B testing, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), and applying experimentation methods to improve digital performance.
- Project management experience, with hands-on involvement in digital transformation projects, feature implementation, and platform troubleshooting
