Job Description

The Director, Ecommerce for Fanatics Collectibles will be responsible for delivering sales through commercially driven strategies, online marketing, merchandising, user experience, and site operations for Topps.com and developing our 3rd party Marketplaces. This role demands a true cross-functional leader to oversee a team that delivers against strategic goals and work hand-in-hand with our digital, product, tech and marketing teams, ensuring the achievement of key performance metrics and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of digital retail and be familiar with navigating and optimizing listings on major Ecommerce platforms.

This role reports directly to the VP of Sales and will work closely with the rest of the Fanatics Collectibles executive leadership team. Key responsibilities are:

Topps.com:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive topps.com strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets across EMEA markets
  • Determine appropriate product launch strategy (e.g. traditional, pre order, auction) for each release that will drive sales velocity, profitability and maintains brand integrity
  • Lead merchandising strategies to ensure a compelling product assortment, timely updates, and effective promotions that align with collector trends and market demand
  • Partner with performance marketing teams to support revenue and growth objectives
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operating metrics. Implement improvements based on data-driven insights

3rd Party E-Commerce:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive 3rd party e-commerce strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Identify new growth opportunities and innovative approaches to maximize sales across various 3rd party platforms
  • Develop relationships and negotiate commercial terms with new 3rd party platforms
  • Empower the team to test & learn by measuring program effectiveness, providing insights on how to optimize in future. Lead analysis of all programs and establish programs to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure optimal product visibility, search rankings, and customer experience across all platforms
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of 3rd party e-commerce channels, including product listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory management
  • Ensure all 3rd party e-commerce operations comply with relevant regulations, policies, and best practices
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to 3rd party platform operations.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of eCommerce experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • 3rd Party online platform experience highly preferred
  • Proven track record in driving eCommerce sales and marketing strategies
  • Experience in demand planning , sensing, and pricing
  • Strong understanding of online merchandising and user experience best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Candidate must have keen business acumen, advanced online customer analytical skills
  • Exceptional leadership and team development skills.
  • Strong curiosity, interest, and intrigue for the trading cards industry
