The role is for an experienced digital and technology advisory leader with experience in the UK real estate market and who is comfortable selling and managing large and complex engagements. You will be expected to originate and lead work in the following offerings:

  • Digital Enablement: Transforming real estate organisations in blue-chip clients with technology-lead operating models and ecosystem capabilities to accelerate their digital adoption and value creation.
  • Systems Advisory and Assurance: Advising on real estate and asset management platform modernisation and system implementation strategies and assurance to mitigate implementation risk and maximise returns.
  • Data & BI Advisory: Enabling clients to better leverage their real estate & asset data by providing governance, process, maturity, and standardisation strategies to unlock automation and insights.

Many of our engagements involve collaboration across Deloitte teams both in the UK and overseas to deliver multi-disciplinary solutions that include our leading services in Financial Advisory, Human Capital Consulting, and Risk Advisory.

We are looking for someone who has experience dealing with clients at executive and senior management levels, many of whom may not be specialists in real asset technology and digital transformation. This will require excellent communication and the ability to summarise complex situations and technical information into clear and actionable advice.

Examples of projects we would expect you to lead include:

  • Work closely with a major real estate client to evaluate their existing digital capabilities, assess their ability to leverage these to meet business objectives and support future business growth, and develop a plan to fill capability gaps identified.
  • Provide strategic advice on technology-centred operating model design for a major real estate investor to ensure consistent, accountable structures are in place that maximise value from real estate technology and data.
  • Define use cases and development of technical and business requirements and operational transition plans for a new asset management solution.
  • Provide a large real estate developer with a market assessment of real estate development and operations solutions and capital projects technology. Supporting IT procurement with independent business case and vendor assessments.
  • Provide project assurance to a large public sector agency to qualify, measure and optimise the value generated from the implementation of new workplace technology or vendor services.
  • Establish/run programme management functions to turn around underperforming or complex technology transformation activities and investment programs.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Relevant 2:1 degree (i.e., engineering, business, management) and/or equivalent related industry experience with major professional services organisation delivering complex digital transformation advisory services;
  • Deep knowledge of the business imperatives, risks and opportunities for digital transformation and technology modernisation for real asset owners, investors, and operators;
  • Industry-specific familiarity with latest technology trends such as AI/automation, IOT, BIM, and digital twin;
  • Strong commercial acumen and market awareness;
  • Ability to build effective and sustained working relationships;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to present complex subjects in an engaging and simple manner;
  • Confidence and proactivity; and
  • Ability to travel if required.
