The Role

The Director of Delivery will report to the Chief Product and Technology Officer and be based from the London office where there is hybrid working. In collaboration with the VP of Engineering, Heads of Design and Product and wider engineering, product and design teams, the Direct of Delivery will be responsible for the delivery of large and complex cross-functional products and product iterations spanning across software and hardware.

Whilst, the Director of Delivery is responsible for leading a global team of product delivery managers, quality engineers and testers, this is a hands-on role requiring someone with the ability to actively decompose complex cross-functional problems effectively and ensure tasks created to solve these problems are responded to, tracked and dependencies managed ensuring successful delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the successful global delivery of large and complex cross-functional products/product iterations.
    • These projects will span across software and hardware.
    • Project requirements also include training, customer documentation, sales materials, support, logistics and other ad hoc initiatives that arise.
  • People management of product delivery managers, quality engineers and testers, whilst also taking personal accountability for the successful delivery of a range of technical projects.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and design teams to break down requirements into both technical and non-technical tasks to ensure they can be achieved with the resource and capacity across the company.
  • Lead the strategy, planning and execution of project deliverables, timelines and milestones and communicate these effectively across multiple independent teams spanning multiple locations and time zones.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years working in product lead environments, working closely with product owners using Agile principles.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of people management experience; demonstrated ability to coach, empower, and develop talent.
  • Deep experience in defining the vision and strategy for technical products.
  • Exceptional organisation and communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to be influential and persuasive with stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a high-pressure / low-resource environment will be highly advantageous.
  • Demonstratable ability to process a wide range of feedback.
