The Role
The Director of Corporate Reporting is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant preparation of all external financial reporting. This includes statutory accounts, regulatory filings, investor reports, and alignment with UK GAAP and US GAAP standards. You will lead a high-performing reporting team and collaborate closely with Management Accounts, Treasury, Tax, and FP&A and Business Units to ensure consistent financial communication across stakeholders.
Responsibilities
External Financial Reporting
- Own the preparation and delivery of the Group's consolidated annual (audited) and quarterly (unaudited) financial statements
- Ensure full compliance with UK GAAP / US GAAP (and local GAAPs were applicable in collaboration with external advisors) and field technical accounting queries
- Oversee production of Annual Reports and other statutory filings
Technical Accounting & Governance
- Monitor, interpret & implement changes in accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 15 & 16)
- Lead accounting policy development and ensure consistency across global entities
- Serve as primary contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Management of group cap tables
- Ad hoc lender & investor information requests
Investor & Lender Reporting
- Lead the preparation of lender reporting
- Oversee the preparation of ad hoc reports to investors / lenders
- Monitor debt covenants and related accounting
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and develop the corporate reporting team of two FTEs
- Partner with internal functions (FP&A, Legal, Tax, Treasury) on various ad hoc & annual projects
Continuous Improvement
- Drive automation and enhancement of reporting & consolidation processes (e.g. through Oracle NetSuite & other connected platforms)
- Ensure data accuracy & audit readiness
Requirements
Technical & Professional
- ACA/ACCA qualified (Big 4 background preferred)
- 8+ years post-qualified experience, including senior-level reporting exposure
- Deep knowledge of UK GAAP company reporting requirements
- Experience with audit, technical accounting, and complex consolidations
Systems & Tools
- Advanced knowledge of consolidation/reporting systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite)
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Familiarity with US GAAP would be a bonus

- Clear communication and ability to simplify technical information for non-finance stakeholders
