We are looking for an inspirational, dynamic and experienced strategic leader to join Adults & Communities as the Director of Commissioning.

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing commissioning of adult social care services for Bristol City Council, to ensure sufficiency, quality and best value. This role will support the bold five-year transformation programme currently underway, which seeks to deliver over £20m savings over the next five years.

You will lead and develop initiatives to advance preventative strategies to enable people to avoid recourse to long-term and institutional care services, through whole system transformational developments, housing-based services, use of technology enabled care solutions, and through partnership with the voluntary and community sector, and non-statutory organisations.

You will be a strong communicator with the ability to influence and sustain a "healthy market" of adult social care provision, along with a track record of developing co-productive relationships.

This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver a commissioning service that will enable the transformation of Adult Social Care.
