Deloitte's Quality, Risk and Security (QRS) community is the overarching identity for all the professionals who manage quality and risk for Deloitte. It comprises : Deloitte Business Security (DBS), National Quality and Risk Management (NQRM), Quality & Risk Operations (QR Ops), and Business Line Quality and Risk Management teams (including Switzerland) and is led by a dedicated partner who sits on the firm's Executive.

Deloitt e Business Security (DBS) is the firm's internal corporate security organisation, providing support to Deloitte and its clients to enable secure business and manage data risk. We are looking for a Director to join the team to lead on personnel & physical security, business resilience, and governance, risk & compliance across all aspects of confidentiality, privacy and sec urity

This role requires technical expertise , good people skills, and broad security and risk knowledge . The incumbent will be required to have - and continue to develop - an understanding of the business and the ability to tailor advice and security solutions to the commercial context as well as to the threat environment . The successful candidate will be aware of wider technological, geopolitical and societal change, and will have good understanding of the challenges from organised crime and state or state aligned actors . Some aspect of the role may require external security clearance.
R eport ing to the Security Partner , t he Security Director is a key member of the D eloitte B usiness S ecurity leadership team, alongside the Director for Privacy and Confidentiality, the Cyber Risk Director, and the Data Protection Officer. The role-holder will need to work closely with these directors, and with subject matter experts both within D eloitte B usiness S ecurity and across the wider UK and N orth S outh Europe risk community.
Specific responsibilities
• Supporting and enabling the business with policy support and practical guidance around the confidentiality, privacy and security of client engagements and the firm's estate.
• Engaging effectively with a wide range of stakeholders . Internally, this will include engagement teams, Business Risk Leads, Q uality and R isk M anagement teams, Central Business Services, and N orth S outh E urope colleagues; while external stakeholders will include clients, suppliers, UK government departments and regulators.
• Acting as a critical friend to first line colleagues across the firm, challenging as appropriate and providing constructive solutions to CPS challenges.
• Providing supportive, inspiring leadership to the Security Team and to the wider fu nction as part of the extended leadership team , helping to foster an inclusive team culture based on mutual respect and trust.
• Mitigation of personnel risk for Deloitte people and associates from their joining through to leaving Deloitte, including the management Government and Public Sector clearances .
• Second line oversight of protective physical security for our workforce and our assets across our estate and in hybrid working, including overseas travel and work in high-risk destinations;
• Oversight of G overnance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) activities including maintaining ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 certification as well as relevant Deloitte Member Firm standards ;
• Planning and exercising for business continuity across the UK firm.
• Incident and crisis management, including team leadership and stakeholder management during fast-moving and complex incidents.
• Insider Risk, including Asset & Data Loss and the detection and investigation of data misuse.
• Horizon scanning for emerging Security and Technology risks , including Generative AI, and preparing for new or changing UK, EU and other jurisdictional regulatory requirements ;
• Mitigating supply chain risk through assuring Third Party Risk management activit i es .
The Director will have regular opportunities to grow their strategic leadership and influencing skills and experience as they require with support from Deloitte L earning . While there are regular cycles of required activity that come with being a part of a global corporate organisation, the Director will find great variety in the range of challenges they are asked to meet each day .

• Proven track record of translating security strategy into outcomes that have observable impact .
• Comfort with ambiguity and confiden ce in tak ing the initiative on complex problems.
• Experience in developing talent and effectiveness
• Ease in communicating clearly , with tact and discretion, to a range of audiences both on-line and in person.
• Pro gramme management experience to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
