Job Description
Verisk is currently looking for highly motivated entrepreneurs to join our Business Development team. Initially, we will ask that you learn the science, statistics and risk-based analytics that underpin our solutions. You will work closely with clients and prospects to understand their business needs, with a view to creating and expanding those relationships and ultimately growing Verisk's London revenue and market share.
A large proportion of your time will be spent engaging with multiple job functions and levels of seniority, including "C" suite, across the Lloyd's market, including regular engagement with the Lloyd's Corporation and Lloyd's Market Association.
About the Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Role
- Improve Verisk's market penetration across the London insurance market with a strong focus on Verisk's data and related products and services, in particular as it relates to the US P&C industry.
- Manage major client accounts to ensure retention and to identify new sales opportunities.
- Work with qualified prospects to demonstrate how Verisk's leading-edge data products and solutions will meet their needs.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual goals and objectives and track progress in achieving them.
- Assist in developing marketing materials and presentations for clients and prospects
Knowledge of at least one of the following areas a plus:
- P&C insurance industry with strong London market knowledge
- Underwriting, claims or actuarial experience a strong benefit
- Proven track record in sales or solid potential
- Business development, sales or marketing experience

Qualifications
- Strong experience of business development, marketing and sales in the insurance industry with a strong emphasis on the Lloyd's / London market
- Ability to follow through the sales process from initiating to closing the sale
- Excellent communication and demonstration skills
- Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously
