Salary: £121,776 - £134,160

Dudley Council is seeking an exceptional leader to join our senior team as Director of Adult Social Care. This is a high-impact, high-profile role at the heart of our transformation journey - one that will shape the lives of thousands and influence how care is delivered across our borough.
As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will drive strategic and operational change, working closely with Directors and Group Directors to shape modern, person-centred adult social care services that put people first and deliver meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Statutory Director of Adult Social Services (DASS) and Caldicott Guardian, championing the highest standards in care and data governance.
- Leading adult social care operations, safeguarding, professional practice, and integrated commissioning with the NHS and partners.
- Driving transformation that prioritises independence, prevention, and early intervention.
- Embedding a strong culture of practice, focused on quality, outcomes, and continuous improvement.
- Working collaboratively across the Council, and closely with Children & Young People, Public Health teams and partners to promote independence, strengthen transitioning to adulthood, reduce health inequalities and improve population health.
