We are seeking a talented and dedicated Director with Debt Collection experience to focus and grow profitable revenue for the Division/Practice Group/Area from existing clients out of our Leeds office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of over 20 paralegals delivering pre-legal collections services to a number of existing clients who operate in a wide variety of sectors.
  • Be the main contact for key clients, attending client meetings, developing strategies with those clients, implementing them and monitoring their success.
  • Delivers on the implementation of the business plan and translates into clear plans and objectives to ensure team is effectively utilised and the strategy is delivered,
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships in line with the Division/Practice Group/Area and Firm strategy to maximise revenue and margins as well as managing costs responsibly.
  • Manage, support and develop a specific practice area team to ensure delivery of the required standards of client service, profitability and effective use of resources to achieve repeat business.
  • To lead and deliver on financial targets and ensure compliance with the management of Lock-up (WIP and Debt).

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of/ within Debt collections field, able to demonstrate an ability to manage resource effectively, maximise recoveries for our clients and revenue for DWF.
  • A senior legal or Debt collections professional, a divisional manager and authority in the pre-legal collections field - recognised across the business as a source of knowledge and insight.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of the sector in which they operate - proactively strengthening knowledge in new trends and risks.
  • An ability to leverage your understanding of the Business' strategic direction (products, service lines, sectors) and our Clients' needs (markets, sectors, risks) to inform and drive Practice performance

  • Experience of leading people development, supporting the skills and knowledge progression of junior members of the team through coaching, supervision and feedback
