M&A Manager

This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

About the role...

Do you have some experience within Corporate Finance but are looking to drive your career forwards with a company you can grow with? Want to elevate yourself by working on more deals than anyone in the market? Like the sound of working in a high-growth private equity-backed business in a fast-growing sector?

Our M&Ateam is growing, and we're currently seeking an M&A Manager to join us on our journey.

You can be based near one of our office hubs in Manchester, Derby, Birmingham, Reading, London or even further afield as long as you're happy to travel to our Derby office 1-2 days per week.

About the team...

Cooper Parry started on the Acquisition journey in 2022 and has quickly become one of the fastest growing companies in the UK. Our dynamic M&A team is looking to expand, to further support CPs growth evolution through more investment and even more acquisitions to come. Join us in shaping the future of our business and driving sustainable value through impactful strategic initiatives.

About the day to day...

As an M&A Manager, you will play a key role in driving and executing the company's M&A strategy. You will be assisting with identifying potential acquisition targets, managing financial and strategic due diligence workstreams, managing transaction processes, and collaborating with senior leadership to align strategic goals with business opportunities.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile deals and make a direct impact on the company's growth trajectory. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify, evaluate, and assess early-stage opportunities that align with the company's long-term growth strategy, preparing summaries for the management team
  • Assist the M&A Director in executing transactions, supporting the end-to-end M&A process, including deal structuring, negotiation, and post-acquisition integration planning, working closely with the integration team
  • Manage the due diligence process and legal workstreams
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership and board on past acquisition performance
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, external advisors, and legal teams, to ensure seamless deal execution

This is a great opportunity to learn from an experienced M&A professional in a highly acquisitive business.

About you...

At Cooper Parry, we're in it together. All we ask of our people is that they play all in. You'll continuously strive to keep learning - whether you're a trainee or a Partner - and you'll be brave, stepping out of your comfort zone to tackle new challenges. Above all, be nice. A simple notion, but an irreplaceable part of what makes CP, CP.

In addition to those core values, as an M&A Manager you should;

  • Have some previous experience in M&A transactions - could be M&A advisory or Transaction Services
  • Be hungry to make a mark, with ambitions to boot
  • Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment
