LOCATION
This role will be based in our Leeds office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
The role of Digital Workplace Solutions Senior Lead sits within our Leeds based IT team at ghd. As part of the ghd IT function, you'll play a vital role in supporting and working alongside our parent company, Wella, in meeting their IT needs and achieving their ambitious goals, to drive technological excellence within the global beauty and styling industry

The IT Digital Workplace Solutions Lead Architect will be responsible for delivering technical system architecture designs, testing plans, and service transition documentation to realize the vision and strategy of the Digital Workplace function within our organization.
This is a Global role focussed on Digital Workplace solutions, but it will have a very strong link to our locally based Workplace IT team to ensure solutions can be delivered successfully at a site level. The post holder will gain exposure across the business, partnering closely with the wider IT teams, as we introduce and drive adoption of the latest emerging technologies, such as Microsoft CoPilot.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the technical introduction of Microsoft CoPilot and other emerging Digital Workplace AI solutions smoothly into ghd and Wella.
- Own the Technology roadmap for EUC and Digital Workplace Services
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, seeking to enhance execution processes, project artefacts, and both technical and other key personal skills.
- Develop and implement digital workplace strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Design and oversee the implementation of digital workplace solutions, including MS Intune, Autopilot, MS Defender, and CoPilot.
- Collaborate with various departments, including IT, HR, and Operations, to ensure seamless integration of digital workplace technologies.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture designs, testing plans, and service transition documentation.
- Ensure that digital workplace solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in digital workplace technologies and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the IT team and other stakeholders.
- Drive simplification of our End User technology landscape and ensure we are driving cost effective application lifecycle management of all technologies in the Workplace IT scope of services
- Effectively and efficiently execute the tasks with minimal input.
- Develop and deliver project documentation, business cases, design documents and relevant technical artefacts, to contribute to repeatable deliverables
- Identify risk and issues to IT leadership for our Digital Workplace landscape.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Digital Workplace Architect or in a similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical experience with MS Intune, Autopilot, MS Defender, and CoPilot.
- Experience with group policy management & creating/amending PowerShell scripts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills & ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of endpoint management with Microsoft Intune
- Modern device provisioning with Windows Autopilot, device configuration & compliance
- Experience of leading the strategy and delivery of a secure Mobile Device Management capability for an organization of more than 10K end users.
- Conditional Access Policies, implementation of co-management and migration processes, and application estate rationalisation & packaging.
- Strong technical awareness of all Microsoft Productivity solutions (M365)
- Windows and desktop applications, Mac OS, iOS/Android, Microsoft Office 365, AV equipment, and general local IT infrastructure activities
- Providing IT technology leadership and direction for mid-large size companies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Delivery of Innovation Proof of Concepts and transitioning them from idea to execution working with business functions directly
- Experience working collaboratively as part of globally located technical teams.
Desirable:
- Communicate unambiguously, succinctly, and at an appropriate level for your audience, from engineering up to CxO-level
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate).
- Experience with other digital workplace technologies and tools that act as competitors to the Microsoft O365 suite
- Experience of coaching junior colleagues
- Robust understanding of project management and organisational change management disciplines such as PRINCE2 and ITIL
- Experience using ITSM tools (ServiceNow)
