Digital Technical Architect

On behalf of FCDO, we are looking for a Digital Technical Architect (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based Remote (Occasional travel to London office).

Join the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) as a Digital Technical Architect, shaping technical design for complex telecommunications and voice solutions in a large enterprise environment. You'll work on a discovery piece to map the technology estate, create documentation and build a reusable architecture library.

As a Digital Technical Architect your main responsibilities will be to:
* Undertake structured analysis of technical issues and translate into solution designs.
* Be consulted on design and provide reusable design patterns.
* Identify deeper technical issues that need fixing.
* Look for opportunities to collaborate and reuse components, communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Essential:
* Proven experience as a Technical Architect.
* Experience in telecommunications and voice solutions preferred.
* Strong Microsoft Azure architecture skills (AWS exposure desirable).
* Experience with mapping, documentation, and creating architecture repositories.
* Familiarity with TOGAF principles (certification desirable).

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
