Sauce Communications are seeking to hire a Senior Account Manager or Junior Account Director with immediate effect to join their team. This is a fast paced role based in a vibrant agency and we're keen to speak to people who are keen to share their amazing digital and social skills with our clients that vary from restaurants to luxury travel brands.

Our Digital Senior Account Managers and Account Directors lead our Digital client accounts and support the new business function at Sauce.

They are knowledgeable, capable and confident operators with a thorough understanding of the required financial, strategic, digital skills - with specific expertise across social platforms.

They are fully in control of client relationships, overseeing delivery of client work within budget; they are fully up to speed on the media tools available to create the required media coverage in all PR areas.

This role will report to the Digital Director at Sauce and will support in driving profitable implementation of strategies and activities agreed with clients - ensuring that programmes and objectives are being met, and that clients are more than happy with all output and outcomes.

In supporting Sauce revenue growth you will play a central role to the overall business development mission and play a key part in proactive and reactive lead generation, management and response development within our Digital division.

Competencies

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree level qualification, or similar relevant
  • Previous Social Media experience in an agency environment
  • In depth knowledge of clients' business and wider industry and market place

Roles & Responsibilities

Agency Business

  • Understanding of personal revenue, profit and cost targets - Sauce financial year runs from 1st June - 31st May.
  • Successful management of the client portfolio annual revenue as guided by Sauce's financial targets - eg. fee income, mark ups, client servicing levels
  • Generation of new business opportunities through well-maintained relationships and proactive outreach to relevant, lucrative prospects
  • Plan, organize and write new business proposals that meet the prospects' briefs and secure new clients for Sauce - with support of HOD and Digital Directors as required
  • Participation on Senior Management Team and delivery of specific company management functions (to be advised per individual)
  • Understand and meet guidelines on best business practices including team financial and resource management, team utilisation, daily timesheets, accurate billing and timely expense reports
  • Keep HODs/Directors updated on portfolio business on a regular basis, and ask for assistance when needed
  • Participate in professional development opportunities for personal continued growth
  • Act as Sauce ambassador at external events and within the wider industry sector

Client Service

  • Provision of strategic direction for the account team, adjusting communication strategies in response to a change in client needs
  • In consultation with HODs and Directors, planning and delivery of innovation and 'customer delight', delivering KPIs within budget
  • Manage client satisfaction; hold regular meetings or calls and/or maintain regular phone or written contact to keep key clients appraised of work progress, address issues that appear and solicit feedback from clients, and assess PR results against client expectations
  • Ensure that digital & social plans integrate with clients' overall marketing activity and strategic direction, and proactively adapt plan to reflect change to business and market
  • Have active understanding and awareness of issues, marketing objectives, technology and products, in order to provide strategic planning and counsel to the client and media
  • Proactive management of account issues to ensure retention of business
  • Development of creative and strategic paths for campaigns, preparation of proposals for approval by HODs/Directors
  • Quality control - ensuring we are working towards award-winning, stand out campaigns and coverage
