Job Purpose and Summary

Are you ready to take part in shaping the success of Canon Europe's digital projects? We're seeking a talented professional to ensure smooth project execution, effective governance, and streamlined operations across our digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving Clarity & Purpose: Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and document project purpose, scope, milestones, outcomes, and KPIs. Ensure all requirements are gathered, aligned, and tracked effectively.
  • Ensuring Robust Governance: Develop, manage, and distribute comprehensive project plans, governance documents, and reports. Oversee key tasks, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery of critical project milestones.
  • Standardising Project Management: Lead the creation and implementation of streamlined digital project management processes and templates. Enhance efficiency and consistency across all digital projects in Canon Europe.
  • Maintaining Strategic Oversight: Consolidate high-level project plans and backlogs for key digital initiatives, ensuring business and technical stakeholders stay informed. Proactively manage risks, resource overlaps, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Core Governance Support: Collaborate with Brand Management to uphold Canon's digital guidelines and principles. Manage domain name governance, ensure compliance among internal teams and agencies, and provide support on project management and digital policy adherence.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams across digital, marketing, and brand functions, as well as external agencies, to ensure all project responsibilities are met seamlessly.

  • Annual salary from £41,242 to £48,518 depending on experience, performance-based bonus of 10% and annual pay review

You will be part of an energetic and innovative environment with more than 50 different nationalities at our state-of-the-art EMEA HQ at Stockley Park, Uxbridge.

What we ask

  • Digital project management experience, managing the complete project lifecycle
  • Experience in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid project methodologies and tools
  • Ability to manage and own multiple online projects from inception to implementation against required timelines, budget and to the desired quality
  • Ability to communicate clearly at all levels including with both technical and nontechnical teams
  • Ability to create clear project and guidance documentation
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups and managing external agencies and partners
  • Experience using MS Project and other key project management tools
  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation, web analytics and UX/UI development
  • Self-motivated, pragmatic, and can work as part of a team or individually, as required
  • Knowledge of Enterprise level Content management Systems and understanding and appreciation of the underlying concepts of website development and web technology (HTML / JS / CSS) is preferred
  • Certified Agile (SCRUM, DSDM etc) and Waterfall (PRINCE2, PMI) qualifications preferred
  • Experience in creating and implementing digital guidelines and principles to increase website governance preferred
  • Experience working on a pan-European scale for a large, multinational organisation preferred

Salary: up to £48,518 dependent on experience plus a 10% annual bonus.
