About the Role:

Our award-winning pensions administration business puts scheme members at the heart of everything we do. Our services include scheme administration, first-time outsourcing, member communications and scam protection.

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and ambitious professional to fill the role of Digital Product Manager within our rapidly growing Client Communications Team, working on the product design, development and roll out of our market-leading digital engagement offering.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with web and working with teams to create new, engaging and modern customer facing websites and digital experiences.

The role holder will work closely with the Head of Digital Engagement, the Product Owner and other senior stakeholders across the Administration business to set and implement product direction. You will have a strategic mindset, excellent co-ordination and planning skills and influencing internal senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the digital vision/strategy, roadmap and product lifecycle for two key products (initially):
    • MyPension (a member facing pensions administration portal), and
    • Pensions Admin Manager (an employer analytics portal)
  • Create and maintain a clear and prioritised product roadmap, outlining features, improvements, and updates for the digital suite
  • Collaborate with the Head of Digital Engagement, Product Owner and other stakeholders to define product requirements, ensure timely development, and successful product launches
  • "Co-pilot"/work with the web-dev IT Product Owner to manage roadmap priorities, implement new online requirements, develop user stories, and manage product backlog
  • Champion exceptional user experience design, ensuring intuitive navigation, accessibility, and responsiveness across various devices
  • Agree 'release plans' with Product Owners (including development roll-out/communication)
  • Work closely with the product manager for the 'core dev' to ensure the digital and core dev roadmaps and management approach is consistent
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand, define and implement new online requirements for each product
  • As part of a testing group - test online requirements to ensure they meet our digital standards
  • Manage stakeholder expectations regarding online requirements and the digital roadmap for each product
  • Demo the product and product developments to key stakeholders (both external and internal), and work with stakeholders to identify and mitigate delivery risks
  • Use market research, competitor analysis and user engagement/analytics to inform the product strategies. Conduct thorough research to understand customer needs, pain points, and preferences, and use these insights to inform product enhancements
  • Review product success - define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, monitor performance, and use data-driven insights to make informed decisions
  • Line management of digital team members

Your Profile:

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably with a focus on client-facing web portals and/or digital products
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, front end design, and Agile development methodologies
  • Articulate and comfortable conversing with developers, business SME's, senior stakeholders and clients
  • Ability to co-ordinate and manage product rollout for multiple clients simultaneously
  • Ability to gather customer insights and translate them into successful product improvements
  • Ability to leverage data and analytics to make informed decisions and continuously improve product performance
  • Proactive problem solver with a creative mindset, capable of navigating challenges and finding innovative solutions

Desirable:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred
  • An understanding of UK pensions arrangements and pensions products
