The team

ITV Sport produces some of the biggest sporting events on the calendar such as the FIFA World Cup, UEFA European Championship, Six Nations Championship, England Women's Football Internationals, Motorsport and the best of UK Horse Racing, including The Grand National, Cheltenham Festival and The Derby. Our talented team of Programme Editors, Studio Directors, Producers, Technical teams, and Production Management team are committed to delivering high-quality content for our viewers.

The role

ITV Sport are looking for a talented digital producer to join our team, creating high quality content across multiple platforms.

The digital producer is an important member of the ITV Sport production team, who is part of a team responsible for commissioning and producing all social, website, and branded content. This producer will report into the senior digital producer in the team.

This role will focus on multiple different sports including Football, Rugby Union, Horse Racing and more. Therefore knowledge of these particular sports and others is vital. From here you will be embedded within the production team to create first class social content, optimised for various platforms. You'll proactively engage with other departments in ITV including marketing and the commercial department to both curate and create content to amplify our brand, and help us reach a wider audience online.

We constantly look for content that will help to improve brand visibility in the online space, so you should have a journalistic flair and knowledge of how best to sell a story.

The successful candidate must be passionate about social media, and have a solid understanding of how best to adapt content for different channels. You must have experience of curating multiple social media accounts for sports channels across X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok.

You will be a confident self-starter, who can work together with a team, as well as driving independent ideas. You must be able to use Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop and be proficient in the Adobe suites. Experience with using cameras is strongly preferred.

You will be based in an office environment, occasionally on site during live TX, and also based in studios where necessary. There might also be a requirement for you to work away from home for longer periods during tournaments. Experience of working in these environments, as well as with on-screen talent and contributors, will be beneficial.

An understanding of OFCOM, ASA and CMA rules is desirable.

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

  • Experience creating, managing and curating more than one social media platform
  • Ability to shoot and edit social content for multiple platforms
  • Extensive knowledge of sport including Football, Rugby, Horse Racing
  • Experience working in an editorial / journalistic environment
  • Experience in using a variety of cameras is desired.
  • Extensive experience in the Adobe Suite (especially Photoshop and Premiere Pro)
  • Significant knowledge of 3rd party platforms and optimal publishing processes
  • Experience of working with on-screen talent
