We're hiring a PR Manager as part of our team in Manchester on a hybrid working basis of 1 day a week.
Role Purpose
We're looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and performance-driven Digital PR Manager to join our Digital PR team within the SEO department.
You'll be collaborating with us in our mission to be industry trailblazers in our approach to digital PR through innovation and integration with other digital marketing functions; reactive PR, content marketing, organic social, influencer marketing, UX - to name just a few.
You'll be passionate and knowledgeable about online content and promotion, including Digital PR, link-earning and traditional PR tactics. You will have a proven track record of earning coverage and links from high-tier media and subsequently contributed to client's SEO success.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing outreach for enterprise size clients and be a crucial part of the wider SEO department. Ensuring best in class planning and delivery for our clients, to ensure all SEO content is seen by the right audience at the right time and in all the right places. This will include content and campaign ideation, client communication, team workflow management, planning and delivery QA/QC, training, management, and innovation.

Key responsibilities
- Generating link-earning ideas through our ideation and idea validation processes while also considering the SEO strategy of clients.
- Use data and insights from a client's backlink profile to fuel your link-earning strategy ensuring that we're driving the right kinds of links for our clients.
- Your role is to ensure we have the correct and desired link-building strategy in place.
- Build upon existing campaign/ project management skills and taking ownership for your outputs on your mapped accounts.
- You will be expected to be client-facing, attending relevant meetings and calls to shout about Digital PR and talk through any relevant project plans or workstreams.
- Advanced user of tools such as AHREFS, Muckrach, BuzzStream, ResponseSource, and it is advantageous if you know how to use the Google suite of tools, too.
- Proficient in Microsoft packages but Excel and PowerPoint would also be preferential as both are used heavily in the role.
- Be interested in the wider Digital PR industry and share findings and knowledge with the team.
- Apply testing principles to everything we do allowing us to innovate the way in which we earn coverage and links.
- Have an interest in the new business process, sharing ideas and insights throughout.
- Support in the development of post-campaign reports to display how link-earning can be easily measured and reported on
- Writing for purpose and to a good standard when it comes to spelling and punctuation: press releases, onsite editorial copy, media pitches, client emails etc.
- Taking on board peer and senior team feedback and applying this to your outputs, striving for continuous improvement in your career and specialism.
Experience / Skills
The following attributes will help you thrive in this industry. You will have:
- 3-5 years' experience in Digital PR, either in-house or within an agency
- Exceptional client facing ability and a strong communicator.
- Love to be in the know and keep up to date with current affairs, social and consumer trends, popular culture etc.
- Vast experience working with large retail brands delivering high-tier links on a regular basis.
- Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving capabilities but with a need to learn more and ask the right questions.
- Be capable of working independently but also as part of small or large teams.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Analytical and data driven, with some data extraction skills desirable.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and drive to continuously improve.
- Exceptional client facing ability and a strong communicator.

- Critical thinking is integral to the role. Whether putting your PR ideas through their paces in quality control or being able to identify what hasn't worked so well, and apply these learnings to future campaigns, you should always be putting your best foot forward with your PR outputs.
- An analytical brain and an eye for detail will serve you well when reviewing large campaign datasets to get to the most interesting heart of any story, presenting something new, interesting, and unexpected to media.
- Whilst a previous degree or junior role/internship in media, content, PR, or marketing would be desirable, we're looking for people with passion over anything.
