Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced and driven Digital Marketing Manager to shape and lead our online marketing strategies. The candidate will be responsible for leading the design and execution of exciting and engaging digital marketing campaigns that promote the RM Assessment brand, solutions and services and engage our global target markets across multiple digital channels. This role will specialise in leveraging content, PR, social media, community management and digital advertising to meet marketing strategy goals.

This role requires expertise in effective and creative use of digital marketing channels, data driven marketing, product marketing, SEO/SEM, email campaigns and social media strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing brand awareness and clarity, increasing solution/product awareness, drive website traffic and generating qualified leads and sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging digital marketing strategy that:

  • Supports the overall RM Assessment Product Marketing strategy and support Go to Market plans as defined by the Product & PR Marketing Manager;
  • Optimises the effective use of digital channels such as website, social media, email, SEO, SEM, advertising and partner channels;
  • Drives clear and strong brand awareness in the market;
  • Drives and promotes strong awareness of RM solutions and services in the market by making effective and creative use of product marketing content;
  • Provides clear data on the effectiveness of marketing content and activities that drives measurable adjustments and improves outcomes in terms of engagement and qualified lead generation;

Define and implement a digital marketing capability that:

  • Defines the tools and services needed to support the digital marketing strategy in an impactful and effective way;
  • Support and delivers strategy for brand promotion, PR and product marketing tailored to RM's target markets, leading the digital campaigns that align with growth potential;
  • Delivers within agreed budgets
  • Taking leadership for the Marketing team on the digital marketing relating to marketing activities and campaigns;
  • Adheres to company wide digital strategies, polices and processes at all times;
  • Demonstrate cost effective use of digital marketing channels that deliver outcomes;
  • Constantly ensuring you are proactively up to date with the latest tools, technologies and trends in digital marketing.

Other responsibilities day to day:

  • Working with the RM creative team to lead them through coaching that supports them to deliver top quality digital content that is impactful, engaging and on brand;
  • Working with the Marketing Team to lead digital marketing support to marketing campaigns targeting different segments, regions and personas throughout the customer journey.
  • Lead and execute the development of social media calendars and campaigns that support and promote the brand and PR calendar set out by the Product and PR Marketing Manager.
  • You will provide expertise and advice to the Marketing team to help develop and execute strong online advertising plans;
  • Create, measure and manage a channel focused approach to SEO/SEM - demonstrating effective ability to reach and engage with target markets online.
  • Work with other specialists within the Marketing Team to ensure campaigns and messages are effectively promoted and supported through digital channels in alignment with the Marketing Team best practices and processes.

Experience

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Good Collaborator: You must be experienced at working as part of a collaborative marketing team to deliver on marketing goals together.
  • Marketing planning: experience creating, and delivering a digital marketing plan and strategy that delivers demonstrable customer engagement and business growth.
  • Digital Marketing skills: expertise in effective and creative use of digital marketing channels, data driven marketing, product marketing, SEO/SEM, email campaigns and social media strategies,
  • Qualifications: Professional, graduate or post graduate qualifications in Marketing (e.g. CIM), Business or Communications is desirable.
  • Marketing campaign development: Experience of developing and executing marketing activities as a team for content (PR and thought leadership, blog, website, social media), producing and briefing creative teams (Video and graphics) digital advertising (search, social ads and re-marketing), email strategy, industry events and sponsorship.
  • Customer insight: working with qualitative and quantitative data to create and develop marketing plans that address customer needs. Identifying gaps in market research knowledge and proposing solutions to fill those gaps.
  • Reporting: confident analysing marketing activities and data to understand what worked (and what didn't) and why.
  • Delegation, collaboration and understanding: You will work closely with the Marketing Team bringing your specialism into the group and using the specialisms of others within the group. You will work as a team to influence a variety of stakeholders (inside and outside RM), to understand the market and the proposition, creating innovative and engaging marketing approaches to meet RM Assessment's marketing goals.
  • Communication: professional, presentable, dependable and self-motivated. Excellent interpersonal and team working skills. Experience of building positive working relationships with senior leadership teams.
  • Planning and organisation: excellent understanding of what is involved in developing a content marketing plan - managing tasks simultaneously, accurately and according to priority.
  • B2B experience: whilst a background in the assessment or edtech sectors is not a pre-requisite, a good understanding of using content and digital marketing as part of a B2B marketing funnel is essential.
  • Driven: being brave inmaking sound recommendations based on fact and experience, with a focus on tangible results-orientated outcomes.
  • Tenacious and self-motivated: someone who is curious, yet disciplined; who does not need to be told what to do but seeks to contribute; someone who is tenacious and looks for alternatives.
