Job overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Digital Change Manager to work in our digital team as part of our EmPoweR Programme team to realise the implementation of our acute Electronic Patient Record (EPR).
This post will be part of the Digital Development team who will be focused on change management within the EmPoweR programme and projects that have interdependencies to this programme. Providing senior leadership, the post holder will assist the Digital Programme Manager and Deputy Associate Director of Digital in the successful implementation, and optimisation of the EPR to realise the digital strategy and projects central to improving the digital culture and uptake of digital systems at ESHT.
The post holder will need to be highly motivated, enthusiastic, team-focused and highly experienced, to provide excellent change management activities for our acute Electronic Patient Record supplier Nervecentre.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a well organised and motivated person, with a can-do attitude who can demonstrate and live the following skills/expertise:
- A good understanding of change management methodology and experience of implementing clinical/ digital change management projects in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders, define and lead change management activities as required.
- Experience of working with and facilitating multi-disciplinary groups will be essential as will the ability to communicate and manage the impacts of large-scale IT implementation.
- Knowledge of benefits management methodology to support the benefits realisation for clinical systems implementation.
- Experience of process mapping, analysis and improvement. Maintaining change and impact logs to analyse data and feedback to assess the impact of changes. Supporting others to make informed decisions is important to mitigate risk.
- Good knowledge of the Nervecentre solution is desirable
- Middle/senior NHS management background with line management responsibilities.
- Recent experience of implementing change programmes within a large and diverse environment.

- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Postgrad management qualification or equivalent
- Change Management qualification, APMG Change Practitioner or equivalent

- Business Analysis and/or Lean qualifications
Experience
Essential criteria
- Extensive experience of working within NHS organisations or equivalent
- Middle/senior NHS management background with line management responsibilities
- Experience of working within a project environment, specifically responsible for conducting change and benefits management activities
- Experience of managing complex transformation and change with a focus on implementing successful digital solutions within a healthcare provider environment
