Detailed job description and main responsibilities
• Work closely with the Senior Management Team to help monitor strategic development and change management.
• Help and support the Digital SMT communicate complex information in a simple and understandable way to non-technical staff.
• Analyse and produce monthly reports of business planning performance data including comparison with contractual related information.
• Monitor the delivery of activity, raising concerns in a timely manner and identifying appropriate corrective actions.
• Follow and lead on improvement of existing processes which enable consistent and accurate business information collection to will inform future planning, service improvement and re-design within the organisation.
• Provide input into the planning of any service development including change within the division/directorate as appropriate, ensure that divisional/directorate objectives are affordable within available resources consistent with organisational strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrate Continuing Professional Development
  • Post graduate qualification or equivalent relevant experience

Desirable criteria

  • Business Administration qualifications

EXPERIENCE

Essential criteria

  • Experience working in a Digital multi-agency and disciplinary environment
  • Experience of managing and motivating staff
  • Experience of presenting and explaining measures and progress against defined standards

Desirable criteria

  • NHS experience
  • Experience of NHS digital systems and solutions
  • Experience of presenting and explaining measures and progress against defined standards

SKILLS

Essential criteria

  • Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
  • Ability to prepare and present financial information to nonfinancial people
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work without supervision whilst delivering to deadlines

Desirable criteria

  • Ability to extract, interpret, manipulate and present information in a meaningful way

KNOWLEDGE

Essential criteria

  • Knowledge of business management processes including financial budget setting, variance analysis and contract management
  • Knowledge of business case development processes

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of NHS financial processes

VALUES
