The Team

Mattel's EMEA Insights team is about insights, action and opportunities - not just endless data. We have been on a mission to move away from outdated perceptions of an Insight function as a data and information provider to being the storytellers and opportunity seekers inspiring the business to act across the region. Core to this is driving a culture of curiosity within broader Mattel so that everyone becomes agents for change, but crucially, ensuring our data systems run smoothly.

The Opportunity

Mattel's EMEA Insights team is seeking a Digital and Social Analytics Platform Manager who will be an outstanding addition to our Insights team, delivering accurate data and insightful analysis to drive data-based decision making. In this role you will have a passion for cementing Mattel's data foundation along with uncovering and analyzing impact, identifying trends, influencers and marketing or social opportunities for Mattel. The right person for this role is someone who is technically capable of handling data while passionate about bringing the voice of the consumer to the boardroom. The ideal candidate has experience to create data analysis frameworks to support a robust reporting and data environment leveraging social media analytics, digital campaign evaluation, and web analytics.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • You will be a critical enabler to lead, shape, and execute the vision for digital and social data analytics for the region
  • The strategic owner of the data services ultimately leading to a single location of trusted data used across the business
  • Improve the perception and usage of the data and analytics services
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, marketers, sales, and other leaders to understand their business needs, translate the needs into data requirements, and execute visualizations along with communicating progress, challenges, and opportunities
  • Educate the markets on how to read and understand digital data and what actions to take to improve performance on key metrics
  • Support and coordinate with the regional digital team, marketing organization and other key stakeholders through regular reporting and ad-hoc analyses to enable fast decision making, performance improvement and faster best practice sharing.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

Experience

  • 6+ years working with large datasets, including data transformations, modelling, mapping in Google Big Query, SQL, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Tableau
  • Experience in analyzing datasets from platforms like Google Ads, YouTube Ads, Amazon Advertising, Facebook, Shopify, Google Analytics and other similar platforms
  • Experience in analytics & visualisations platforms like Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel, SQL, GCP
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Ability to own projects from discovery through completion

Skills & Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial relationships with third party suppliers and vendors
  • Fully own the data integration and dashboarding lifecycle, including connecting, transforming, auditing and visualising data
    • Oversee development of new API and flat file data connections in collaboration with data owners and ETL vendor, as well as maintenance of existing processes.
    • Lead requirements workshops & create relevant documentation in collaboration with stakeholders
    • Manage version control for documentation and sign off requirements
    • Develop reporting datasets in Google Cloud Platform, in collaboration with vendor partners.
    • Build Tableau dashboards for various data sources
    • Manage dashboard adoption & enablement
  • Oversee data quality, data compliance, taxonomy & governance processesDeliver a strong understanding of digital and media KPI's for various online channels like Google Ads, YouTube Ads, Amazon Advertising, Facebook, Shopify, Google Analytics and other similar platforms.
  • Ability to efficiently handle multiple projects in a fast-paced regional environment, adapt to shifting priorities and be able to communicate complex issues in a clear manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, verbal, and written skills
  • Collaborative and inclusive team player with the ability to network with a broad range of stakeholders

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in areas of Business, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field or equivalent experience
