The role
The Devices team sits at the heart of the colleague experience at ITV, delivering solutions to complex problems to enable ITV to deliver on its strategic objectives. We work at pace but recognise work should be enjoyable, empowering everyone to have a voice and encourage collaboration and debate.
The team are responsible for the management and lifecycle of ITV's Mac, Windows, iOS and print devices, enabling ITV colleagues with the latest features and innovations.
The Devices Junior Mac Engineer is responsible for working with other Engineers and the Tech Lead to design, deliver and support the Devices Roadmap delivery with a particular focus on Jamf Pro, macOS, iOS and associated tooling development throughout the entire product lifecycle.
You will also work closely and collaboratively with other Product teams to share learnings, provide expertise and support to deliver against the wider Workplace Technology strategy and roadmaps where required.
Main responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the Devices Roadmap
- Ownership and continuous improvement of ITV's Jamf platform comprising ~10,000 devices.
- Working with support teams, provide support for operational issues relating to Jamf and Apple platforms.
- Design and deliver in place upgrade processes to deploy new operating systems and patch updates.
- Identify and champion new technologies, tools and ways of working.
- Best practice development, testing and delivery standards to ensure smooth delivery of features and releases to ITV colleagues.
- Working with ITV's architecture teams, ensure solutions align to ITV's strategic goals, delivering creative solutions to complex problems.
- Stakeholder management both technical and non-technical
- Identify opportunities to realise value within ITV's existing product set and device estate.
Qualifications / Professional Certificates desirable
- Jamf Pro - Jamf 100; 200 preferred
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
- Demonstrable experience of managing a complex environment of Apple Mac and iOS devices using Jamf Pro.
- Demonstrable experience of working with the Jamf API.
- Demonstrable experience of Bash and/or Python scripting
- Experience of packaging Mac apps for distribution
- Experience of working within an agile environment delivering against a product backlog is beneficial.

- Able to translate technical implementations into business friendly explanations and to demo functionality and encourage and foster feedback
- Focused on delivering secure, technically sound products that don't compromise on user experience
- Knowledge of industry trends and demonstrable proactive approach to staying on top of developments in the Device Management space.
- Demonstrable experience of driving innovation and finding novel solutions to difficult problems
- Demonstrable experience of working in a collaborative way with other team members to deliver solutions
- Knowledge of Windows device management via Intune beneficial
- Experience of developing in node desirable
