Developmental Children's Services Manager (Safeguarding)

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Social Worker with a keen interest in sharing knowledge and developing others in the area of safeguarding.
Our successful applicant will work closely with an Assistant Director, (Safeguarding Lead), to support and ensure the highest standards of safeguarding practice and compliance throughout Barnardo's Northern Ireland.
The post requires the postholder to be flexible, solution focussed and adaptable in their approach whilst prioritising high quality safeguarding practice for children, young people and their families.
This role requires a motivated and enthusiastic individual who can confidently deliver our internal safeguarding training packages. It is vital the successful candidate can work collaboratively with others and has excellent communication skills.

The role will primarily be based in Belfast however this is negotiable and will be agreed in the context of the postholder being required to support services across N Ireland.
Essential Requirements:
- Professional Social Work Qualification (Not in AYE) and registered on NISCC Part 1 (or equivalent), or willing to register
- Demonstrable experience of undertaking complex safeguarding work with children and families
- Experience of managing safeguarding reporting and governance processes
- Demonstrable experience of managing a team undertaking Safeguarding work
- Full driving licence and access to a car or be able to demonstrate ability to meet the mobility requirements of the post. This post will involve travelling throughout Northern Ireland where necessary. If appointed must have appropriate business insurance.
Salary: £42,016 - £53,176.50
Hours: 37 hrs per week

*Starting salary is generally at the beginning of the pay band however, further consideration will be given to exceptional candidates*
