Development Manager EMEA

  • Project Assessment / Analysis:
  • Lead the assessment of hotels opportunities conducting market analysis & research, project feasibility.
  • Preliminary Facility Planning:
  • Propose the appropriate preliminary project facilities to deliver the envisioned commercial vision for the property.
  • Documentation Support: Drive document preparation for legal and commercial purposes:
    • Requests for Proposal (Presentation Deck)
    • Letters of Intent / Key Commercial Terms (HoTs)
    • Deal memos / Investment committee memorandums
  • Collaboration and Coordination: act as the main point of contact with all the internal key stakeholders from deal origination to deal completion.
  • Negotiation Support: Build knowledge to participate in the negotiation with external stakeholders.
  • Network: Develop and maintain a network of key consultants and owners & developers.

Job requirements:

  • Education - Bachelor or Master Degree in Business / economy / hospitality / Finance / international relationship / Law OR 5 years of experience in a corporate role in a development function for a hotel group, a investment / financing group with an interest in hospitality, a consulting company with an interest in hospitality, and an architectural / Design firm with a substantial focus on hotels.
  • Experience - minimum 3 years in an analyst or senior analyst / associate role in a similar set up (Development in a Hotel Group, investment firm with heavy focus on hotels, Brokery group / Bank with a heavy focus on hotels or Hotel consultancy).
  • Certifications / licenses - none
  • Special skills - good knowledge of the hotel industry, able to understand hotel P&Ls and financial projections, able to undertake a market analysis with a hospitality / tourism focus, able to write memos to the attention of the CEO and board. Additionally, soft skills such as persistency, intellectual curiosity, ability to travel, inter-communication skills are highly recommended.
