Salary: £47,394 - £50,808
Hybrid working (requirement to be on site, working from a community hub, or in the office 2 or more days per week at 5 Pancras Square, London, N1C 4AG).
Contract type: Full Time, permanent, 36 hours per week
Closing date: Friday 28thJune 2024 at 12noon

The role
To achieve our mission, we're looking for a Development Manager to join us. It's your chance to help build better futures and lead the delivery of high quality affordable homes, workspace and public realm improvements for diverse communities throughout Camden. You'll manage and deliver a technically complex portfolio of projects from start to finish. And you'll help to secure the vital investment that funds our new and replacement affordable homes and mixed-use spaces. Driving innovation, best practice and best value, you'll be accountable to our project sponsors and governance boards. You will work as part of a team of colleagues and consultants, and you'll actively engage stakeholders such as our residents, community groups, businesses and elected members. You'll make it your priority to ensure everyone has a voice, and there is always full consideration of local needs and opportunities.

About you
We're looking for development professionals who can think creatively. You'll bring an good knowledge of project management in a property development context, and an understanding of procurement, design, town planning and construction processes. Crucially, you're also great with people. You will be building an understanding of the design and construction processes and financial spreadsheets and development appraisal tools, as well as developing your stakeholder, negotiation and report writing skills. Alongside a knowledge of design, town planning, land acquisition, financial viability, construction and sustainability, you also understand how regeneration initiatives can address deprivation, community safety and cohesion.
