The Role
This broad role is designed to support the management and execution of the end-to-end Graduate and Degree Apprenticeship (DA) Development Emerging Talent Programmes within HSBC UK, inline with the Emerging Talent strategy.
You will be the first point of contact to all Early Careers Community (Graduates/Interns/Industrial Placement and Degree Apprentices) and business stakeholders for HSBC UK.
You will support the programme management activity by working with the Operations Lead and Programme Specialists on ongoing projects to manage placements, performance management and Apprenticeship standards.
Key Accountabilities
What you’ll be doing (not limited to):
- Central inbox query management; being the first PoC for Graduates, Degree Apprentices, training providers, other suppliers and stakeholders/Line Managers.
- Maintaining accurate records of all programme placements, Apprenticeship progress/MI, community involvement and other key data points.
- Supporting Programme Specialists in the cyclical placement management activity, including rotation administration and updating trackers, HR system updates and communications.
- Create and manage internal communications for a variety of audiences.
- Provide administrative support throughout the year-end performance management process, and the end of placement review cycles.
- Manage roll-off transfer process and administration for all of those completing the programme.
- Keep updated on internal process changes and ensure the bank's compliance & policies are adhered to.
- New starter & induction administration and upskilling.
Additional responsibilities can be included to meet your development aspirations as we have projects to support across the wider Emerging Talent recruitment and development team/priorities.
Skills & Experience
You’ll need to demonstrate:
Must haves
- Managing a varied workload which changes day-to-day
- Strong prioritisation skills, organisation and time management skills
- Can work autonomously and use initiative to undertake a wide range of tasks, and ask questions when required
- Excellent working knowledge of Outlook
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to work as part of a larger team and flex to changing demands and priorities
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring information is articulated in a meaningful way to a wide and varied audience
- Able to build effective networks across all business areas and develop relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
Nice to have
- Experience of working within the Emerging Talent/Degree Apprentice arena
