Reporting to the EUS Lead Group, the role will have Second Line responsibility for pre-empting (Automation), investigating and resolving Incidents. Completing IMACs and Requests where applicable. Project and NSR Tasks assigned to the Desktop Support Team. The individual must be MoD SC Cleared or be capable of obtaining MoD SC Clearance. The candidate must be a sole UK National, with a full UK Driving Licence.

Your role

  • Second Line responsibility for resolving Incidents to SLA
  • Requests/IMACs completion to SLA
  • Escalations - responsibility to be below 2%, per Incident per month
  • CSATs for Incidents handled to over 4.5 out of 5 per month  Pro-active communication with the Service Desk and Level3 Teams,
  • Undertaking Project Tasks in support of both internal and external Project Managers  Undertaking NSR Tasks to agreed timescale

Your skills and experience

  • Microsoft Windows O/S - working knowledge 
  • Desktop hardware architecture – predominately HP desktop and laptops
  • Active Directory - basic administration
  • Automation - Understanding of Scripting technologies 
  • Working Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) 

Your security clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (DV) clearance. 
To obtain DV clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.

Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality. Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.
